Everybody would like to see free flowing football, with pklenty of goals, I don't think there is any doubting that, but I wouldn't want it at the expense of results.
I think to many people get trapped into thinking that teams can only play one sort of way. I am happy for the way that Bolton play, while it is giving us the results we want. If we started playing route one all the time and lost every week, then I would be up set. We mix our football and play how we need to to get a result.
Last year when we beat Arsenal at home that wasn't with route one football, we played them off the park.
A lot of people seem to think that free flowing football = entertainment, and our physical style of football = boredom and grimness.
For me the entertainment starts a couple of hours before in a pub with my friends, then the match (hopefully with a positive result) and then the few hours after discussing/arguing various points/opinions with my friends long into the evening.
As for the statement "watching Bolton is boring" for me this rarely if ever happens. I love my team, and I love the pre-match, during match and post match atmosphere of having a bit of banter and a few beers with my mates supporting the team I love.
