I think my best 11 is similar to the general consensus. Obvious and glaring change is John for Williams on the left. I think MJ is OK in the middle but would swap him out for Sheehan or Lee. I wouldn't be disappointed if Tommo got picked either. Up front Kacha has had about two good games this year and he did nothing again in the home leg. So he can drop out for Vic or Dan up front. Dan seems to have some potential.

I'm gutted I can't go. My dad and uncle both can't go and my brother and cousin both can't go. That's five of us missing who would normally be there. How have to be a TV job. 😭

So what has actually gone on? It's so annoying to read a thread where nobody bothers to explain.

Kach and Dions best game in a Bolton shirt. Dempsey everywhere. Evatt Spot on with the starting eleven. Absolutely delighted with the performance. We could have had 7 or more.

Thanks guys for the helpful advice.

Hi, have you still got this?

When I try to log in I get a message saying the site security certificate has expired. And then when I get in, it looks like the site has been hacked and there is a picture of a pig with white teeth at the top and a blue machine that says gonk on it... Any thoughts?

I'll say it. It helped massively that Dec John was back in.
-
I think it's a bit harsh jumping all over someone because they had an opinion on a player.
-
Almost worse than the pen decision was when he didn't pull it back after playing an advantage which wasn't an advantage.
-
I've got the sheff commentary on. They thought it was a pen. Charles has almost brought it on himself with allays looking for it.
-
Well so far a couple of points. Jones (aside from the assist) is a bit of a weak link. Keeps misplacing passes and was a bit suspect for their goal. Toal is the same. He plays some odd passes and gives it away a bit too often. Santos playing well. Sheehan's corners are a bit toothless. It's like watching our corners from earlier in the season.
-
Onward. Can anyone put a finger on what they think went wrong today, or what we need to do differently. Did anyone else think Williams was on the pitch far too long and it could have cost us 2 points?

PEOPLE SAYING ITS A SHIT COMPETITION Just reset your brain for a moment any think of it this way. We are just a league one club, playing in a cup designed for teams at our level. Yes, it's not the FA Cup but we have reached the final of a cup that's not meant to be for the big teams. All levels of football have Cup competitions running alongside their leagues level. And this is ours. We still had to beat all the other clubs to get to it! Get on board!

Is it "soft" to not televise football injuries?
Jayjay23 replied to Jayjay23's topic in Terrace Talk
Yeah I think fair challenge, and Bradley one could have been a yellow. We might have had a tough game 11v11. -
You and he (manager) are both absolutely correct. If it's a yellow, then it has to be for a careless challenge. The definition of a red is a dangerous challenge. (not verbatim) If a Careless challenge injures a player so badly, then it's more or less automatically classed as dangerous, because it DID endanger him. The only way its not a red, is if its simply a fair challenge that just happened to be unfortunate.

Here is the incident. IMHO not even a yellow. Red yellow or none? -

Nah. I had a match pass on Now TV. You have to watch live. -

Maybe over worded it. But I looked away from the screen for about 3 seconds, missed it, and now I've no idea if we should have been down to ten men. I can imagine that if we were playing united and they should have had a player sent off (which cost us a place at Wembley) we would be fuming if sky didn't let us see it... -

Can I help you? -
I'm struggling to do the math on this.

Well done Bolton. Great effort from the players and the fans! Ref was harsh with the red but the liner made up for it with poor offside calls, several of them, including a goal. Accy had a couple of decent chances near the end. You could never write them off, despite the pressure they were under. Accy manager, classy comments after the match. Nice to see 👍

And they would be correct... The player is supposed to be there.

I'm thinking of hiring a mini bus or a limo. If anyone wants to go without driving and without relying on the trains pm me and I'll do the drink driving. (jokes, I don't actually drink so happy to drive)
