He got promoted from League 1 playing dual no10's.

If he plans to play with that dual no10 formation long term, Dalby needs some real quality to feed and to be fed from, some proper no10's.

Fancy that not all attacking balls are going outwide and the no 10 starts to do well. It's magic. Sorry if that sounds dickish, its just something ive been talking about for months.

Tbf He isnt a no10, which is his role alongside McAtee today.

It's League 1, we've been overcomplicating it massively with this inside winger rubbish. The level is poor get people, passes and crosses in the box and you'll score.

Created some real opportunites today, unlike the dross and half chances we've seen for the last few months. Just got to score them.

I don't blame Randell he's just a standard league 1 wing back, nothing more, nothing less, he was asked to do the impossible, and when he couldn't do it, he got screamed at and scapgoated by Evatt. More than a few players heads dropped after that and didn't recover. Dion, Jerome, Lee, Dapo The list is endless, they all hate him.

Don't get the Randell Williams and Alex Murphy hate, they were being asked to do the impossible. Etete was laughably bad though.

Curious if that's a middle 3 or a 2 with Dempsey and McAtee as 10's, either could work depends on if Burton come out to attack us.

Cutting inside is fine, it works, as long as it's appropriate and as long as you don't do it all the time.

A right footed left winger? we already have 2 of those right? Web says he sometimes plays on the right....could that mean a RIGHT WINGER WITH A RIGHT FOOT????? wow

We played a bit of 3421 with 2 psudo no10's in the last 1/3 of the Leyton Orient game. I think it worked, which is ironic considering it was the formation SS won League 1 with. The problem we have is if he's going to stick with that or is going to revert to 4231 or even 532. If he's going to recruit he needs to pick one and recruit for it. I suspect this is why we haven't seen business up until now, as we require different players for each, and he hasn't really settled on a formation.

People call us thin but tbh we're approaching normalish levels for a league 1 club, would Conway have burst onto the scene without Taylors injury preseason, probably but maybe not.

I'd sell him for a decent sum, as i dont think he'd be good enough for the Championship, too many compromises.

Sheehan rumours might not be too far off the mark, i heard we've looked at some bloke called Longstaff from Canada, who wants to come back to England.

Leyton Orient (H)
I think that's the first time all season i've seen him go on the outside. You play 4231 because it allows you flexability, the problem we have is we havent been being flexible. So you get the downsides to that formation without the upsides. Gale going on the outside is that flexability, this is the first time we've seen it, that is the problem.

Leyton Orient (H)
Gale scoring was after ACD came off, Tutu moved into his position and made the pitch wider, this created room for Gale after half time and he caught them with their minds still in the dressing room. The fact this is rarer than unicorn shit should tell you this is an issue.

He didnt just play with 5 at the back at Plymouth, he played with 2 no 10's. It's the first time this season we've done that, and it looked good, keeping in mind the players in no 10 werent even proper no10's
