That'll be because you aren't eating any fibre, Atkins is just bollocks. Eat less carbs yes, but eat fruit, veg and brown rice too. You'll be shiting like a good 'un and losing weight too. Get down the gym (christ it's only across the road!!!) and do some cardiovascular to get your metabolism up and you'll be thinner than Smiffs :D

Start the day with a mug of hot water poured onto a slice of lemon, it's supposed to kick-start the metabolism.

I normally started with a quickie, that gets the heart going

if you're cutting your carbs, how does that fit with eating fruit

cos when i did fatkins, it worked well enough and the thought of loads of meet sounds good (specially to undies) but a few days in its boring as fook

it's not a trick question......i'm interested

I'm not a scientist, however...

I don't believe it's as simple as cutting carbs. The idea of losing weight by eating meat and other things high in saturated fat is just a joke surely.

Eating fresh fruit and berries can only be beneficial. I've stopped eating as much bread, cereal and pasta as I used to do and that seems to work.

Whizz is actually an appetite suppressant and was used by slimmers (and people at Wigan Casino) originally.

Plus it makes you talk shit for hours which burns more calories.

the theory...as fare as my simple brain can comprehend

the body likes to have it easy

carbs are easier to break down, so body breaks down carbs

no carbs, body eats fat

resulting in weight loss:-k

in my case cutting out chips, bread, curries, pizzas n beer was always going to result in weightloss i spose

Lost 2 stone on a fat free diet.

And lost 1 stone on the Atkins (Jay have you got those sticks that you need to piss on to see if the diet is kicking in?).

The fat free was far easier to maintain.

Atkins was a pain in the arse. Cooking bacon, eggs, burgers(!) at breakfast time.

Read one of my missus mags the other day - a few of the rich and famous have just started to cut their carbs out after 4pm. That's the cut-off when your body stops burning calories.

Makes sense to me.

(for the record - I piled weight back on after both diets - due to the fact that you crave certain foods. And once you cave in and have a bit of something - you cave in entirely. You get to thinking - well a few pounds back on won't harm me.... and your fucked again!).

and i thought only us 'ladies' worried about diets and being thinner- how wrong i was.

ok, ill start, i weigh 10 stone 10 pounds. i want to weigh 9 stone 7 pounds. , im going on a girlie hol mid march, so thats my incentive. i also want to get in a pvc catsuit without looking like a fat git.

plan- low fat diet, 45 minute cardiovascular workout ( 10 mins bike, 10 mins rower, 10 mins cross trainer,15 mins run), followed by weights circuit to tone and strengthen legs, arms, back and stomach. somedays i may alternate the 45 mins routine for 45 minutes swimming.

im gonna try that for a month and see how i go. after that i shall be asking our resident fitness expert ( carlos!) to revise my excercise plan.

lets have a w-ways fat club.

own up, how fat are you, what do you need to lose? and who is gonna come to the gym with me??

I think the easiest way to do this would be to cut part of your leg off.

EG - helpful as ever.

start a diet club, do the weekly weigh in, then amputate limbs- highly successfull slimming club me reckons! people would be so scared of getting their bits cut off they would religiously diet and excercise.

im joining the eg amputation club.
