Bit of a done deal, but good news.

Will GS still be the manager?

will all home nations not have to qualify?

Automatic you’d have thought going by FIFA’s World Cup plan where the six hosts would be automatic

🤞

Sir Gareth has already said this is his last tournament I think?

He's being replaced by Emma Hayes which I'm personally all for

I thought they’d said only two hosts would automatically qualify. I’m not sure any of the six would need to rely upon hosting in order to qualify.

If the Europeans in 2028 go by the two auto qualifiers then there’s an issue as England and arguably Eire shouldn’t need the leg up which leaves NI, Scotland and Wales to fight it out.

agreed, she has a winners mentality, and that's what's needed for the job.

Will be a handy excuse to expand the comp and milk a few more quid from the extra games

Sure I heard that England have said the want to play qualifiers. Could be wrong.

Yep. As Germany deemed to be going backwards w/o competitive games.

In this case, 'friendlies' against Scotland, Argentina, Germany should do the trick? Culloden, Falklands, Battle of Britain.

...and she has a brilliant tactical mind. When she was commentating on the world cup she put all the male pundits to shame with her insightful analysis.

As for Southgate.... watching England reserves last night was embarrassing and very reminiscent of BWFC in recent matches - slow build ups, possession mainly across the back, shot shy, getting down the wing and then bringing it back to allow their defence get back and starting again - it was all there.

FWIW I thought Baccus had a decent game, totally unphased by the Premiership prima donnas :)
