February 7Feb 7 Popular Post These Olympics always remind me of probably my darkest ever time. Totally consumed with alcohol and painkillers after my ankle break. In a rut of staying up all night and being riddled with panic and anxiety all day. The Winter Olympics was on through the night and became a godsend. We won gold in Skeleton Bobsleigh at 3am or something daft and I'd already nailed every bit of alcohol I could find. I rummaged through all the cupboards and found a dusty old bottle of champagne we'd been given for our wedding about 8 years earlier. Perfect way to celebrate. Warm stale champers popped for a gold medal. Woke up with the wife calling me a fuckin scumbag as she went to work. Bad times
