Ben Kinsella trust https://benkinsella.org.uk/knife-crime-statistics/#:~:text=According to the Office for National Statistics%2C,object in the year ending September 2025 Plenty on there.. Knife crime has been on the rise, seems to have been a slight dip. But whilst people can go in home bargains and buy a kitchen knife with a point for £3 then it's going to carry on rising. Price correct as of 27th Dec when I last looked.. Quote

Price correct as of 27th Dec when I last looked.. From that page: Knife crime falls for second year, but long-term prevention remains vital New figures from the Office for National Statistics show that police-recorded offences involving a knife or sharp instrument in England and Wales fell by 9% in the year ending September 2025, with 50,430 offences recorded. only1swanny Posted Wednesday at 19:36 Posted Wednesday at 19:36 He said over the last 10 years, which it has You've selected a quote about the last 2 years which doesn't account for the rise before hand.... Dickheads carrying knives, not giving a shit for what happens, psycho's, wannabe gangsters etc.. I know you like to be controversial and argue with hand picked facts, but when it's a subject which is close to home, then to try and belittle a very true statement makes you come across as a bit of a twit, I'm not entirely sure what point you are trying to prove here. Knife crimes increased over the last 10 years.. FACT.. that it's dipped recently irrelevant to the initial fact, unless it drops below the levels of 10 years ago.. Quote

Knife crime may have increased over the last 10 years, but the murder rate has fallen. And the "significant increase in knife crime" you referred to isn't very significant at all. It's no coincidence that the "feeling" that the streets are more dangerous has increased at the same rate as the number of cameras recording the streets. Edited Wednesday at 20:10 by Cheese Quote
royal white Posted Wednesday at 20:37 Posted Wednesday at 20:37 I remember when folk said crime had fallen under the tories and the excuse was it’s because of lack of policing, now Labour are in its because the country is safe and something about cameras. 🙄 Quote
