difficult one this, does anyone beleive in their heart of hearts that the police went out and picked on totally random family and prosecuted them for the bombings ?

 

or did they pick a family who they suspected/knew had been involved in some type of activity (including bombing) and went after them ?

 

my immediate gut reaction is no smoke without fire however if i think about it that is no way to run a society when rumours and suspicion can lead to someone being put in prison. it happens and it is wrong.

 

i think the apology is right and justified if i think a white, hetrosexual football fan wrongly imprisoned would get the same apology is a different matter.
