We have a daughter who has multiple disabilities including blindness, and are regular users of Vision Aid. The thought of losing the support and guidance that we receive from Vision Aid does not bear thinking about. They focus on your child's positives, and you never feel depressed when you leave unlike many of the hospital appointments, where the focus feels like it is on your child??s problem areas. They have also loaned us various equipment to stimulate our daughter??s sight that we could never have afforded to buy. If funds cannot be found to help Vision Aid remain open, then our daughter and many others will be left with little or no visual assistance. We would appeal to the general public and local businesses to contribute what they can to enable this invaluable service to continue. We would like to thank Wanderersways.com (especially Dave Howells), who raised approximately ??7,000 from a Sportsman's Dinner for various charities. Of this, they kindly agreed to donate ??1,400 to Vision Aid following our request. Thanks to everyone involved. Name and address supplied
