HW - how soon would you be able to post details of your proposed packages on here? Feeling already that people are panicking and flights are going to get booked regardless. Tromso apart the others could probably be booked on-line today at a half decent price. Tromso looks like a package deal every which way you look at it. At nearly ??10 a pint - cannot see much point in hanging around the place! Bottle of JD from Duty Free and a hip flask might be the way forward!

Prices are excellent, but knowing our luck we would play the first leg away, and the second one at home ](*,)

Guide to Groclin Grodzisk

IT’S not quite the realm of the Bushtucker Man, it doesn’t quite require the survival skills of Ray Mears, but any City fan hoping to watch the Blues in Poland is going to need resilience in abundance.

Having already navigated unglamorous trips to mid Wales and Lokeren, City fans might have hoped for a trip that required only a cursory glance at the EasyJet schedules. They were to be left disappointed.

Groclin Grodzisk is a club that makes Lokeren look like Real Madrid. The club is based in one of the least accessible parts of one of the least accessible countries in Europe.

Grodzisk is a tiny town of about 6,000 people with a football stadium to match. Plans are in place for a full-blown leisure park, a sort of mini SportCity, but that’s a dim and distant dream. City fans, or the few of them who can cram into the ground, will find an atmosphere as far removed from the Premiership as is possible. A couple of them might even have to run a line.

Long trip

Getting to Grodzisk will be hard. There are a few options, the only problem is that none of them are particularly appealing. The nearest town is Poznan, so the sensible option would be to fly there direct from Manchester, but flights are already booking up fast and a fee of at least ??200 is prohibitive.

Flying to Berlin would be cheaper – as little as ??60 with some budget operators – but going out on the day of the game requires a 6am start if the 250km train journey is to be completed before kick off.

With the first leg in Manchester, City could conceivably have the game wrapped up before their trip to Poland.

Groclin beat Hertha Berlin 1-0 on aggregate in round one, but the Germans were guilty of some glaring misses, former Bolton forward Fredi Bobic the culprit-in-chief.

Vast amounts of money, by Polish league standards at least, have cemented Groclin’s place as one of the leading teams in the country. The side boasts two Polish internationals and in Andrzej Niedzielan a striker of no little talent.

As befits a team whose emblem is a man throwing a discuss, Groclin are a hard working, athletic side, though, like Lokeren, they lack enough quality to compete regularly at this level.

Unbeaten so far in Europe with three wins and a draw from their four games, Groclin will hope their tight ground works to their advantage again in November. With a capacity of just 3,000 the stadium is one of the smallest to witness European football and there are no plans to move the fixture.

Accommodation will also be a problem, and most fans will have to make the trek to Poznan following the game. Pack your thermals and buy a bottle of the local Wodka. It could be a cold trip.

FC Zenit St. Petersburg (RUS)  capacity 22,259 - 1,112 tickets

Debreceni VSC (HUN) capacity 10,200 - 510 tickets

Groclin Grodzisk Wielkopolski (POL) capacity 3,000 - 150 tickets

Troms?? IL (NOR)  capacity 8,000 - 400 tickets

PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv (BUL) capacity 20,000 - 1,000 tickets

Thats if we only get 5%. St. Petersburg or Plovdiv then [-o<
