train from oslo to trondheim....6 hours

train from trondheim to narvik....10 hours.

then bus from narvik to tromso...4 hours.

Blimey - looking at the map of Norway carefully you have to pass through Hell and back to get to Tromso - literally (its just below "Norway")!

Tromso is looking more accesable on a ferry from Newcastle. The sites dont let you do short trips they request you phone up for that so no prices Im afraid.

Plovidiv is looking a no goer. No flights coming up on Opodo.

I remember going skiing and flying into there. It might be like a typical holiday resort that has one flight in and on out each week!

cheap flight to Berlin, train from there to Poznan night in Poznan train from there to Groclin night in Groclin ( only 1 hotel there) train to Poznan train to Berlin night in Berling grate trip mate.

You can get the train from Sofia to Plovdiv about 13 times a day for 5 levas (about ??3) thats according to my lonely planet europe guide.
