Guest hammers Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 the area around upton park is lovely.. Yes, its a shithole and full of Asians. Most of the whites moved out further east 20 years ago. Your point is? Is that not racist? Er, No.
Guest hammers Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 So its ok to be racist when talking about londoners on this site then? The whites moved east 20 years ago because of the number of asians moving into the area. It was a shithole when just the whites were there FFS!
Zozzy Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 weird, I was just reading a site about London and there's a few pub pics, and one in Mile End. Your local is it Hammers? Mile End (The Albion) This was a good family pub close to the canal it was friendly place to pop into on Sunday having good typical East London bar nibbles. The pubs popularity declined when a murdered person was discovered in the back yard under the railway viaduct We went down to West Ham one season and had a pint in The Blind Beggar

There are not many white people left living in East Ham now, thats stating a fact. White people started to move out 20 years ago, fact. How is any of that racist FFS??

IMO, the number of Asians moving in meant that some people felt that they didnt want to live there any more. I'm not sure thats being racist?, maybe they did not want to mix with other races. Maybe they had other reasons, I dont know. This is a difficult enough issue to debate without the term racist being thrown about (and it doesnt help when the idiots that moderate your site can edit my posts accordingly) Why do you think the number of white people living in the area around Upton Park has plummeted in the last 20 years?
Guest as Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Becasue it's a 3rd world slum, and the locals are convinced that the rest of the country really gives a shit about cok-er-nees? East London makes Blackburn look like a nice place. PB

Guest as Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 When did I mention race? I'm saying that East London, like Blackburn, is a hole. Racism would be me calling Anton 'chip on the shoulder' Ferdinand a mongrel. PB

Guest as Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 If you don't like it - f*ck off. I had a 2 minute read through your board, full of kiddies who watched Green Street and want to talk about the old bill. I had nothing against West Ham, but some of your fans are clueless muppets who believe all they read in the tabloid rag. Stick to reading Martin Samuels column about how great a club, and how much potential the Spammers have got. If you're soooooooo fantastic, why were you all turning on Pardew (and your chairman - who's prob now flavour of the month again) not long ago??? Now you're playing well, and it's all praise for the great job he's doing. You're as fickle as anyone else, big club - my arse. PB
mickythehippo Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 it might as well be a PR shot so tell me go on, go on, go on
frank_spencer Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 it might as well be a PR shot so tell me go on, go on, go on If you want to see bolton then look at the photos on the site!! every area of bolton is shown!
Traf Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Micky, Bolton is like any other large town / small city. It has slummy areas, ethnic ghettos, drug problems and serious amounts of crime( especially motor related). It has also has some beautiful countryside, very affluent areas and excellent transport links. For every shithole, there's probably a good part, it all depends where you look. Bolton is no better or worse than most places of a similar size. PS I don't live there, so I'm not biased.
exiledwhite2 Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 it might as well be a PR shot so tell me go on, go on, go on Bolton is alreet. Average-ish as English towns go, I'd say it has more variety than most, in that you'd be surprised at the wealth in some areas, and some pretty rough and ready areas too. It's certainly a place that's been on the up for the last ten years though. It's certainly a decent night out, there is no way you'd need to avoid Bolton, you'd have a laugh, it's busy and loads of places to go. Manchester is only ten miles away though so understandably a lot of people will stay there, especially as that's where the trains from London go from / to...
