Sorin bid accepted... but not ours yet.

Saviola and Sorin could be two great deals for the club. And with Sorin being the Captin of Argentina that could be used to capture some young Argentina players.

Agree, it would be 2 great deals for the club but the fact is we won't get either of them. Most likely PR bullshite as usual from the club trying to cram in those last minute ST sales.

I am a free man. I can be cynical without their help ;-)

If we get Sorin, I think that would great for also getting Saviola as well. Sorin could have a word with Saviola about joining Bolton.

No i don't :D

It's true though that there is an air of cynicism amongst Bolton fans, myself included. We've been let down with new signings (or lack of them) too often.

Hopefully Carlos Tevez!

Inter will pull out tomorrow aswell..... and then Jol will decide to come in for him to boost squad numbers and there goes the deal...

nice thought, but his current club put a ??20M price on him when Chelsea enquired........

I'd be happy with:

O brien tal meite gardner

stelios campo nolan sorin

davies saviola

as soon as rickys fit and have diouf as supersub

more likely to be

-------------Jussi

O'brien - TBH - Mighty - Ricky

-------------Faye

Stelios-Nolan-Speed-Diouf

------------Davies

Speed wont last a full season and we need a goalscorer

Speed wont last a full season

Why?

Speed wont last a full season and we need a goalscorer

that may be but

~can't see saviola coming

~can't see Sam changing tactics

~if spuz and inter are in for soreen he aint coming here either!

He might change tactics, the shift is changing towards a younger team so why not more attacking too. end of last season sam was starting with very attacking play i thought, vaz te, borgetti and davies all playing etc.

ok possibly replace stelios with VazTe but dont think he'll change from 451/433

probably 4-1-3-2 tho, if sorin comes nolan can roam and have campo/speed in def mid

Plan A: 4-5-1

Plan B: 4-5-1

If all else fails then Plan C is (at the top of your voice) 4-5- f??cking 1!

i hope o brien is first choice, and nolan declares for ireland

i agree fair comment, but do you think the club could afford both sorin and saviola's transfer dont even get started on the high wages ?

Might have a chance yet....

Sky Sports Said:

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has denied making an approach for Argentina captain Juan Pablo Sorin.

The Villarreal defender has been told he will be allowed to leave the Spanish outfit during the summer and a number of clubs in Europe's top leagues have been linked with him.

English trio Portsmouth, Bolton and Tottenham are all reportedly among those interested in the 30-year-old with reports on Monday suggesting Pompey were to match Villarreal's ??2.5 million asking price.

However, speaking on Sky Sports News, Redknapp has denied making a bid for the South American star.

Although admitting his liking for Sorin, the former West Ham chief does not expect to enter the bidding war for the player.

"I like him, I had him here three-and-a-half years ago and I tried to sign him but for whatever reason we couldn't get him over here, we couldn't do the deal," Redknapp said.

"He's a good player, he's the captain of Argentina and a quality player but I haven't made an approach for him, no.

"I doubt it (make a bid), I'm not sure. I don't want to say no and then I go do it. He's a good player, an interesting player."

Redknapp's admission may now see Bolton head the queue to sign Sorin in the summer.

However that may be, whether this is Speedo's last season or not, we still have Idan Tal and Quinton Fortune [-o< that can fill in for that midfield spot. Both left footed and versatile. Well maybe not Tal, was shite on the left wing at Everton, but here's to hoping he'll be a good centre mid. Or a good friend to Tal Ben Haim in order to convince him to stay furthermore. :D
