Did't realise he was out of contract next summer. If you ask me it's just as important to get him signed up as it is to bring in Anelka. Would be a real shame to see him leave on a free.

I think the statement that Sam made about Taliben and the Isrealites yesterday was partly an attempt to make him feel an integral part of the club.

 

Can't see why he won't sign - a friend of a friend knows his missus and she loves it here, and lets not forget the influence of the ball n chain.

I'd agree with that. It's a big season for him this season and if he plays well he'll be sorted either way.

 

He got plaudits last season, but I'd say to really prove himself to be worthy of a top 4 club etc he needs another good year of playing well, which is within his capabilities in my opinion.

Yes this based on only one game but TBH may be trumped this season by Meite - he looked very impressive on Saturday
