Exactly my point, he bought Anelka because he wasn???t brave enough to hold onto the ??8million for a rainy day.

 

Anelka is no better than what we already have.

 

When Davies is fit Anelka will be sub. Fat Sam cannot produce a footballing team. Even with Anelka in the team they were hoofing it upto him.

I remember watching players make far worse debuts than Anelka who subsequently turned out to be cracking! Bernard Mendy for instance, he had a mare and was substituted in the first half I remember.

your talking crap, one player has played for real madrid, liverpool, arsenal and france, has a proven record of 1 in every 2.5 games in the premiership, the other was used as a makeweight in the clinton morrison transfer after proving average at birmingham, johnson is currently very fit and playing at the top of his game and has played against 4 very slow centre halfs davenport/dawson/carragher and hypia, these 4 players have no pace whatsoever and are ready made for Johnson to exploit, if we get Anelka any where near fit, he will prove to be a far better all round player than Johnson, anelka wins headers, has pace, strength and brings other players into the game, while johnson has pace and not much else to his game, time will tell.
