Featured Replies

Dont know if this has been posted elsewhere but they just said on 5Live that the BBC have been prevented from attending the weekly media conference at the Reebok.

good, tossers.

great news. big sam = new ferguson.

does this mean we will stop been shown on match of the day?

not that it makes a difference with our usual 3 minutes of fame at the end of the program.

No, they get the pictures from Sky and have a contract to get the highlights. We cant stop them showing our 2 minutes at the end.

The security men are vetting everyone so there's no imposters too.

I know we're banning the BBC, but is it still OK if I watch Eastenders tonight though?

No, and for one reason and one reason alone.....it's shite!

the other reasons, too many to mention are:

it's full of southern types

it's Friday night

IT'S NOT REAL!

Eastenders should be banned for simply being shite. :D

Feng stays in and watches soaps straight-headed now, if that's what rehab does to you - I'm not f??cking going through it.

Looks like we'll not be one of the "featured games" on MOT'd for a while then.

we have football first on sky thats the main think

Talking of all things London (Eastenders) I was in the capital Wednesday and Thursday and expected the London press to be having a field day with BWFC and Sam, nothing, even the overpriced London Evening Standard didn't say much, talking to lads who support London clubs all agreed the programme was a stitch up

BOLTON Wanderers have banned the BBC in protest at the screening of the Panorama documentary "Undercover: Football's Dirty Secrets".

The corporation's national and regional TV and radio staff were absent from yesterday's media conference at the Reebok, where Sam Allardyce, Kevin Nolan and Gary Speed met the press to preview Monday's Premiership game at Portsmouth.

Wanderers have given no indication how long the ban will last, but they are understood to have told the BBC, both locally and nationally, that they were angered by the content and tone of the programme. Allardyce and his son Craig, a former agent, were accused of soliciting and receiving illegal payments to facilitate transfers.

continued...

The programme also featured footage of Wanderers chairman, Phil Gartside, telling an agent he was prepared to sell Jay Jay Okocha at a meeting that allegedly took place eight days after claiming another club had "tapped up" the Nigerian international.

Unlike Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, who imposed a personal ban on the Beeb in protest at documentary that focused on his son, Jason, and his involvement in United transfer dealings, it is Wanderers as a club and not the manager himself who have imposed this latest sanction.

Asked if he was considering boycotting the BBC in Ferguson fashion, Allardyce asked the club's communications manager, Danny Reuben, to give the club's official position.

Reuben said: "We've spoken privately to the BBC and they are aware of our thoughts.

"That is why they are not here today."

Wanderersways should follow the example, and ban Natasha for her crass remarks about Big Sam.

I read in the daily mirror that they have been banned.

Allardyce, who claims the BBC have no hard evidence, also seems to have the backing of the club's followers, judging by the Bolton Evening News' receipt of over 100 supportive letters. Only three demanded that he should leave.

No prizes for guessing one of them.

:good:

No prizes for guessing one of them.

It wrote in 3 times to make sure they received it
