O.K. it was over a week ago when Kevin Nolan was jeered against boro but it has been annoying me ever since, if your guilty of jeeing Nolan i would like to know why? after what he has achieved at bolton and given his 100% commitment to the club i think he deserves our support through this bad patch, for me that is what differentiate good supporters from bad, unfortunately i feel we have a large minority of good time charlie fans at BWFC, clubs like liverpool/city/and even Man u back there own, unfortunately i dont feel we have that class of supporter in big enough numbers.

I "had to have words" with two pricks sat behind me at the boro game, they have done nothing but slag all the players off every match this season and when they cheered the Nolan substitution and shouted "f*ck off you scouse prick", that was the final straw. I doubt anybody sat near me will speak to me again after my outburst but these pricks are typical of the type of supporter we are getting at the Reebok.

 

Yes Nolan isn`t playing well but booing and jeering will not help. The lad has been superb for us and deserves better from the fans.

I fcukin hate the booing of individual Bolton players - It achieves nothing, and especially Kev Nolan who has been immense for us. People should get off his back,and his form will return soon.

if it is them compleat tossers used to sit near me at the game for 4 seasons and when we got into europe stopped coming like you said the pay ??500 for a season ticket if you dont like what you see dnt by ticket pleant of other fans waht them!!!

before yesterday, theres no hiding away from the fact that nolan had been very poor. his goal at walsall did wonders for his confidence and he had a cracker.

Point is - he's had enough good seasons and done enough for us for folk not to boo him after a mini-bad run

I only boo individual players for not trying. I don???t care how awful they play I won???t boo anyone who gives 100%. And Nolan on recent form falls into this category. Pedersen as well.

 

However, if the team plays rubbish as a whole I always boo at the end of the match ??? it???s my way of telling them their level of performance wasn???t good enough. Premiership players are molly-coddled enough as it is, without us clapping them off for playing badly.

As far I saw and heard it - his substitution was cheered. The DECISION to bring off an ineffective player for a more creative player in a game that was crying out for some creativity. Everyone on here needs to get off their high horses. Nolan was playing crap against Boro. Forget what he's done in the past or will do in the future. IT WAS ABOUT THERE AND THEN. He was subbed. A great decision. Not early enough.

If anything, maybe its the fact that he was subbed, heard the fans CHEER (not jeer) that has since spurred him on to score twice in the last two games.

What riled most was that he was playing alongside to old pros in Speed and Campo - and their pair of them were running rings around him.

End of the matter. He's risen to the challenge but before him by his own fans. A strong character. Well done KN.
