Faye and Campo in midfield together was an utter disaster against Watford. They constantly got in each others way and it took the sacrifice of Hunt and move of Faye to centre back after just 35 minutes, to open up the midfield.

 

I for one, am hoping that Sam moves onto plan B for Nolan's replacement and that involves a place in the centre for the hungry little Greek being given the chance to get his season going.

maybe stelios will come straight in for nolan? or maybe he'll risk the idan tal.

Difficult one Stelios or Fortune, Stelios was utter shite against Walsall but needs a good performance to get him going again. Fortune is a real tackler which i think is what we need, Ronaldo and Giggs need a good strong tackle early doors otherwise they will run riot as usual

Straight choice, Stelios or Fortune. Not sure which way I'd go.

 

I like Stelios and anyone who chips in 8-10 a season deserves respect. Seeing as Nolan is a goal threat from midifield Stelios may be the choice.

 

But seeing as it's United, Fortune may be the better option, we could really shackle their midfield with Speed, Campo and Fortune against Scholes and Carrick. I think we'd be better going with a strong, tough lineup and leaving the attacking threat to Anelka and Diouf, and Davies on set pieces.

Yes you are right. But surely Utd are the one team who really 'exploit the hole'. Rooney and Scholes are masters at being just behind the front man. We need to get a grip of this area and shackle these two. Given a total man-marking job, Faye might be able to zero the threat of Rooney and leave Campo to handle Scholes.

He hasn't had much match practice tho, Charlton will be a good test for him.

midfield enforcer required against man u, Faye would be that man for me.

I would stick Tal in midfield. Then he can be the attacvking one of our 3 centre mids and Speed and Campo can do the defensive stuff. Also it means that we can keep all our defnders free to put out the best possible defense.

 

Who are the best choice full backs for the match?

 

I would personally play TBH right back and Fortune left back. With Miete and Faye centre's.
