Ben Haim ? Centre-back, badly missed there when he could release Faye into midfield so we could field Campo or Tal as playmaker. Currently due to leave in June (or January).

 

O'Brien ? Midfielder, injured for the last few months.

 

Hunt ? OK at times, forgets to see who is behind him at the far post, distribution average to poor. Injury-prone.

 

 

Left-Back :-

 

Gardner ? Good, but really a wing-back. Injury-prone.

 

Fortune ? Is he good ? Have we seen enough ? More of a wing-back ? Occasionally fitness-prone.

 

Pedersen ? FFS - this is gettin' ridiculous !

 

 

I see no problem in us getting two full-backs who can defend, stop the crosses coming in, stay fit, preferably have some pace & decent ball distribution. But then I'm a dreamer ......

Feel free. I don't think there are many decent wingers in the prem these days- Therefore, trying 3 at the back with 2 pacey wingbacks seems a viable OPTION.Our attacking play has become a bit predictable and one paced, it needs fresh ideas - and using quick wingbacks in a 3-5-2 could work against certain opposition.

that could very well be the case. if haim wants to go then he wants to go. we can not change that. however if he was to stay the introduction of another central defender would allow us to put faye back in midfield
