For me, best in the world.

 

To be consistantly this good for a whole season makes him the best for me. I agree though - would have been good to see him fail but admit he has been great to watch

depends on what you define a great player as.

 

imo a the best player in the world must be able to do EVERYTHING and be CONSISTANT.

 

can ronaldo defend at all?

 

rather have a gerrard, lampard, vieira or even deco than a ronaldo, ronaldinho or henry.

 

but if you talking about actual footballing talent, then yes there is probably no one better at the min.

 

put it this way a team full of gerrards would wipe the floor with a team full of ronaldo's imo...

He has been playing well but.......................he`s still an annoying red ginger.

I would disagree. I would have Ronaldo over Lampard, Vieira and definately Deco. Gerrard is quality though and if they were in the same midfield together that would probably the perfect pairing

Ronaldo and Drogba are the best two players in the PREMIER LEAGUE this season and i would wait to see how many trophies they win before deciding who was the best.

Because doing it at home to Bolton is one thing,doing it in the Champions League final is another.

She's probably only with him because she's not met you yet. And frankly, would you after she's been nobbing him? Fantastic Footballer but a complete tosspot.

He is the best player in the world right now. Can't really think of a single player who can win games alone like he has been doing.

 

George has a point about doing it in the big games though. I don't doubt he will, but until he does it will remain a question mark.

 

Zidane, Van Basten, Maradona (the only players who have genuinely earned the 'worlds best' tag in my lifetime) did things in European cup finals, world cup finals etc, that's what you need to do if you want to be called the world's best.

Kaka is the dogs b?llocks, but in this country the greaseball will win the Player & Young Player Of The Year awards.

Gerrard is perhaps the single most over-rated player in the EPL. Well, him and Fat Frank. He's a typical English meat-head midfielder, runs fast and kicks the ball really hard, great. I take it you haven't seen the Spanish midfielders absolutely schooling him on how to play midfield in the recent international?
