April 29, 200719 yr As I said before, without knowing the full facts I dont want to say too much, but what would it have taken to wait another 2 weeks? think of the fans and players who stood by him throughout the bung enquiry. counts for nothing. Don't forget Garside has known for a while now that Sam was going at the end of the season, the fact that it's leaked out has forced him to go early for the good of all concerned. Anyway it could well focus the players for these last two games, and who would have thought we could have got a point at Chelsea?, how many times have you seen a sudden imprivement in results after a manager departs a club?, probably as a result of players suddenly playing for their futures.

City don't seem keen on the Ransom offer, so there is no guarantee of a job here. Watch out at Newcastle though. Will Fat Shep push Roeder out to get the man he really wanted?
