who told you this then?

I seriously doubt that Roeder would take a demotion.

Making up rubbish, i think BS's next club will either be ManUre, Chelski or England.

I would like to see the odds for big sam to be next newcastle manager, because Ithink it is nailed on.

i can't see allardyce having rodent working for him

Not without them UEFA coaching certificate things.

I can JUST handle Sam going to the barcodes, even if they will hound him out of a job in 2-3 years.

I just hope/pray that he doesn't end up at Man City <_<

Not sure about this bit:

Big Sam is in line to replace Glenn Roeder but under the terms of his exit from Bolton, he is not allowed to get a new job until the campaign has finished. But as soon as the final whistle blows on Sunday May 13, Toon chairman Freddy Shepherd will swoop for Allardyce and stop Manchester City scuppering his plans.

Gartside has already said he'll be seeking some money he Sam does move elsewhere, can't see the agreement only being until the end of the season as the Rag reports. If it is, its very short sighted of Fat Phil

i realy dont care if he goes here or there,he did a great job for us no mistake but turned his back on us in the end good luck sam :drinks: BUT COME ON SAMMY LEE we are all bolton and thats what matters not the manager not the players as they will come and go us we just plod on =D>

I doubt its until the end of the season, he was due to leave then anyway, its probably january.

Phil Gartside was talking about the remaining 2.5 years of BSA's contract.

?2m a year, so ?5m from whatever club he joined. Doubt he'd get anything like that though.

Is the worst manager in the history of the game.

toon fan here lads so go easy! :drinks:

its been rumoured for a few weeks on our message boards and around the city that sam would be at newcastle at the end of the season, and his recent resignation has just stoked up the flames, personally, i think he will be our new manager, but im a bit concerned about his backroom team. i am under the impression that they were just as valuable to bolton as he was, and im guessing they will be staying with sammy lee, so will big sam be as effective without them?

and to just comment on the roeder to the academy thing, i think joe joyce, our academy manager may have something to say about that!

cant see sam having rodent anywhere near the club to be honest, and who can blame him!

Welcome to WW Lovejoy.

For what its worth I wouldn't mind Sam going to you barcodes. Newcastle, are one of the few clubs who are rightly labelled a big club. I was there for uni and it really is a football city.

With financial backing Sam could work wonders with you guys, but it would take a few years i guess. Newcastle from the outside at least appear to be badly run, with no-one more to blame than Fat Freddy. Get a decent manager in place, clear a lot of the dross you have and with a bit of time and there is no reason why Newcastle couldn't be in the top 6.

thanks mate!

the way the club is currently run is a joke. the medical staff (look at all of our injuries, cant be coincedence), the coach's (could you tell me when nufc signed a player and actually improved him? i cant! people stand still at our club), the scouting systems (roeder recntly admitted that we had ONE full time coach, jesus, no wonder we pay ?10m for luque and ?8m for boumsong), and i honestly feel big sam would be the man the change all of this, i also think that if we had sacked bobby pre season, rather than the usual september sacking, he wold have been here 3 years ago and we wouldnt be in this pickle.

as wenger said the other week, the club has the POTENTIAL to be a top 4 club again, the stadium, fanbase, facilities, etc, and i think sam will see that potential and fancy his chances.

i think he will need cash though, but we have never failed to back our managers.

but he hasnt spent much at your place, and you are a far better team than us!

Ouch, hit me where it hurts!

I am just amazed that people swallow the 'Newcastle are a massive club', 'The North East is a hot bed of football', 'Newcastle supporters are the most loyal and passionate in the land' bollocks that the media (and Geordies) love to feed us.

It's simply not true.

Newcastle didn't win the World Cup in '66 though did they

Apart from the Fairs Cup, what the fcuk have Newcastle won in the last half century?!
