Homer, I presume they are your scores out of 5..........and not out of 10

Plenty of those 'fcuk ups' are good enough to get into our teams. :-k

how many of them won the champs league recently?

most of them probably frees as well

looks like an alladyce-esque situation

no money (relatively speaking), brings in loads of nobodies

yup

You cannot argue with his record at Valencia or Liverpool, he's a manager who builds teams that win trophies.

He won the Champs League with Liverpool by forgetting about the Domestic league, there just a cup team full of second rate european players IMO,and are no where nearer winning the EPL than they was when Houllier was incharge!!

think it's more to do with his tactics suiting european football than the domestic game

2nd rate european players don't win the champion's league

unless they have a v good manager who knows what they're doing

You are well and truly snookered there Tony :D

If you wouldn't like Mascherano, Kuyt or Agger at your club then you don't know much about football. If you are saying they cost too much or there wages are over the top, then you have a small chance of making a point.

Aye liverpools first XI

Reina

Finnan - Carragher - Agger - Riise

Gerrard - Alonso - Mascherano - Garcia

Kuyt - Crouch

Bar Anelka every one of those is better than we have in those positions, and i would argue that Carragher, Riise, Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano would start most weeks in the rest of the top 4's sides.

Of the current Liverpool team what players would get in Chelski or Man Poo's starting 11,and what players would you take out of that team to put them in!IMO Liverpool are no nearer winning the League(let's face it that's what the scousers want most)now than they were 4 yrs ago under Houllier!

again though, how many of chelsea and man u's sqaud have played in 2 champs league finals in past 3 years which is what there fans probably want more

I think Liverpool's problem is buying all these players, they always start a season poorly whilst there new players find their feet or till benitez realises some aren't that good (aurellio, gonzalez etc)

if they can have a settled squad from the start of the season I reckon they could give the title race a good go, don't think they'll win it though as their tactics are suited to euro football as too often they come unstuck away against teams that get stuck in

Good Point Zico!I think Liverpools problem is there inconsistant away from home! You always feel as though they kind of play for the draw and lack the killer instinct to finish teams off! :good:

i'd rather have diouf than garcia too...

Liverpool have no chance of winning the title next season - as they're simply not good enough.

And long may it continue :good:

after reading mcparlands statement on leaving liverpool, i think coming to bolton is a mistake, he is a boyhood liverpool fan, a good friend of benitez and clearly loves LFC, i think you should always follow your heart and it is clear he will leave it behind at melwood.

Similarly Sammy Lee loves Liverpool Football Club. It won't prevent him from giving everything to his job at Bolton, in fact the contacts he has built up will enhance his chances of success.

personally I left my heart in San Francisco

Liverpool will never win the league under Benitez. He has bought far too many players that are simply only suited for European competition, and cannot cope with the physical demands of the Premiership. In my view, he will continue to do so.

I cannot agree with Garcia and Gonzalez being rated so highly, as these two have never impressed me enough for a so-called title chasing side in the league, and never will.

Garcia is hugely overrated, I only ever see him consistently play well in the Champions League, and as for Gonzalez, I knew before he signed that he'd fail in the Prem. far too weak, and another south American pushover.

I still cannot quite believe that the moron sold Owen for only ?8m, plus ?4m-rated Antonio Nunez. It's absolutely scandalous, and sums Benitez up altogether. I still smile when I think of the time when Josemi played against Henrik, and got absolutely anhialated. I've never seen Pedersen get the better of any opposition player in a more obvious way.

When Liverpool ever win something under Benitez that isn't from a penalty shootout, courtesy of a Gerrard 40 yard strike in the 95th minute, or a Gerrard and Carragher superman-esque 45 minute revelution to save their blushes, I'll finally give the fat Spanish waiter some praise.

Until then, anyone who believes that Bolo Zenden is good enough to play as a centre midfielder in the Champions League final, regardless of how well he may have played can fcuk off.

Here's to hoping that Benitez is crying in front of tv cameras again next season, given that he has a devine right to beat any smaller side in the Premiership, regardless of how well the opposition have played. :drinks:

so apart from what they've won, they've won f?ck all

whilst I agree with some of what you say, that just makes you look a d?ck

Alonso

Sissoko

Agger

Kuyt

Mascherano

A few Ive picked, though some might only make it on the the bench for Man U and Chelsea, More of a chance at Arsenal seens as they are going through a trnsition

Don't get me wrong, they deserve credit. It's not just the final that wins you the honours.

But IMO there aren't many more teams out there that get more luck than Liverpool. And given the amount of players that Benitez has brought in who have failed to perform domestically, along with spending upwards of ?30m for instance on four strikers in recent times (Kuyt, Crouch, Bellamy and Fowler), three of which certainly aren't title-winning class, I have little sympathy if they fail to achieve their ultimate goal.
