Bolton's Diouf in Trouble Again

El Hadji Diouf joined Bolton`s squad as it departed for the Peace Cup in Korea. This was a source of some relief to the club as he had missed last weeks training camp in Austria without permission. This will be the first real test of new manager Sammy Lee`s authority.

Diouf had a particularly close relationship with previous manager Sam Allardyce and comments he made at the end of last season seemed to indicate at least a possibility that he was seeking a move. Benfica were reported to be interested but this turned out to be groundless. However, Athletico Madrid have been linked with the striker before and after pocketing a fat transfer fee for Fernando Torres, it`s possible that they will now have the funds to secure Diouf`s signature.

Like you said its Vital Bolton. These lads are full of shite, and usually copy and paste other stories as there own. I'd be very surprised if they were the first to break a story like this.

IF it had happend it would have been in every paper ( you know how much the media love Diouf <_< ) not just some tin pot web page

from a very itk source, diouf was awol for austria

This is just typical Diouf thought isn't it he's been like this ever since we first got him on-loan. I just wonder if Little Sam is going to be as tough as FSA was with him???

I think its fair to say Sam wasn't tough with Diouf!

Like Jean-Claude Van Damme

Since when was Allardyce tough on Diouf?

sam was probably out with him!

The story is obviously crap

Like Tyldesley said every journo would have him in the papers

Yeah really good wording

as i said, yon journo may not be the brightest button, but his failure to appear is common knowledge

I think I read on the offical board that diouf, anelka and faye didn't go to Austria as they had extra time off due to internationals so they met up with the rest of the lads later on their way to the Peace Cup competition. Same as Andriak didn't go to Austria as he's playing for Iran in the Asia cup.

had it from a good source that anelka and diouf didn't go to training in austria.

i dont think theres any doubt about that

question is whether they were given permission to miss

They were given permission to miss Austria and what's more Dioufy is fully committed too :)

Quote from TBN

"Diouf famously had a special relationship with former Wanderers manager, Sam Allardyce, and was mischievously reported to have upset Lee when he didn't show at the club's training camp in Austria last week when he had, actually, been excused duties."

Go On Dioufy Lad

nice to hear all the good vibes coming out of the squad
