July 23, 200719 yr On a free transfer. Should we not have been interested at that price? I'm getting seriously f?cked off at the board's lack of ambition. So far Sidwell, Beckham and Saviola (all of whom could do a job for us) have moved for no fee, yet we're throwing money at proven Premiership players like McCann and Helguson.

Traf, you're not thinking of the bigger picture though, if Saviola has gone to Real Madrid, then either Van Nistlerooy, Cassano or Robinho must be surplus........we should definitely try to sign one of them.

By f?ckery, you're right! What a schoolboy error that was! Get Baptista for ?6m.
July 23, 200719 yr Traf do you honestly think Saviola would of signed for us instead of Real Madrid! Looks like Traf's hooked a big one there - and with bait like that aswell!!
July 23, 200719 yr Cassano has been left out of the real madrids touring squad so it looks like its cassano and baptista heading for the exit door! Possible joint deal in regoin of 10 million?

July 23, 200719 yr "West Ham have confirmed the signing of Freddie Ljungberg from Arsenal. " "West Ham have signed Ljungberg in a deal that could rise to ?3million." is this not another player we could have been in for may only be me but i think he quality when he plays regularly
July 23, 200719 yr Author Right, that's it. No more threads about: "We've should have signed him at that price." FWIW Ljungberg is a cocoa shunter of the highest order and wouldn't like it oop North. He prefers to remain down South in more ways than one. He's gone to West Ham because he won't have to move house, he's got a decent signing on fee and a better wage.
July 23, 200719 yr Right, that's it. No more threads about: "We've should have signed him at that price." But I was just about to start a thread about 'Arry wanting to sign Freddie Kanoute. Would he not be a good addition for us? Boo, it's rubbish this site!
July 23, 200719 yr Author Asking if a player would be a good addition to our squad is a valid point of discussion. Fire away. It's the we should sign xyz if they're only ?2m we want to shy away from.
July 23, 200719 yr It's the we should sign xyz if they're only ?2m we want to shy away from. I believe that the Chinese International Fuang Xyz has already signed for Hamburg for ?1.9M................we should have signed him, especially for that sort of money

Reet ive got a phone call off a mate in Stockton Heath today said that McParland had been in his shop and bought a very nice suit whilst Garty was sat in the car outside! Anyway i have been informed that Kev Nolan and Gavin Mccann are looking very good in training and are set to start the season in the midfield. Also this nonsense about The Elk is what it says. He is going nowhere yet!! Make of this what you want. I dread to say it but this guy is pretty reliable Anyway

July 23, 200719 yr Author Dean Windass went to Hull for ?150,000! We should have signed him at that price. Now you're talking.
July 23, 200719 yr Dean Windass will guarantee you 15 Premiership goals a season, no problem. Ok, Anelka might get 20 this season but are five goals worth the ?8m differance in transfer fees and the extra wages?
