If we play winning football under Allardyce it is not good enough because entertainment is what matters not points

If we play attacking passing football under Lee this is a waste of time because points on the board is the important thing

People who want entertainment and not points should go to the cinema on a Saturday afternoon.

Then again those who made those kind of complaints probably did spend Saturday afternoon at the cinema.

Has Lee got us playing attacking passing football? I certainly haven't seen any. Did you actually watch the Newcastle game?

............... for about a four and a half minute spell about a third of the way into the second half.

I try not to get personal but just can't agree with you at the moment. I have seen a lot of live matches managed by Lee either on telly from Korea or at the Pre-season matches and I have seen plenty of attacking passing football. we completely outclassed Colchester with pass and moves for example. Quoting the shittiest performance (apart from the reserves v Hibs) against Newcastle is not helpful.

Are you choosing to comment on only the Newcastle match as well.......... you negative bastard. Read the title of this thread at the top

I saw flashes of it in the second half of newcastle game and majority of it in fulham game, but for me why can't good to watch exciting football mean winning games , the more i've read on here the more i think it's a split between those who think we should be picking up points in whatever way possible and those who think we should play great football at all costs, i think we should play football that gives your spectator value for money that includes going to fulham and coming away thinking how we never got at least a point but hopefully will end the wigan coming to the reebok sticking 10 men behind the ball and us playing 1 dimensional football until the pie eaters d1ck us late on and we have no reply. I'm excited by the coming season and fully agree with zozzy , we're bolton fans and always will be , lets back the club , back the team and back little sam, it'll come good, we may not finish this season in europe or top ten but we will be ok. We have had great times for the last 4 seasons but have been found out now , lets retreat , rebuild and then go back to war and hopefully this will make us a premiership side for another 4 or 5 years after which i have no doubt this subject will be a hot topic again but this time it will be "how we live life after sammy lee"

PS. if this reads like a load of shite it's the amount of cider, lager and giuness i have in me , so ignore and carry on as before moaning like an owd washer woman .

Not a moan at all just saying for a brief period in the second half that there was a glimpse of something that looked like very attractive football and this took place in the Newcastle match yes. I actually commented about it at the time to my son who was sat next to me. Can't remember my exact words. I therefore take great umbridge at the fact that you call me a negative bastard as I am not enjoying a moan as I am not moaning at all.

If that is the case I took it the wrong way and I apologise :good:

I'm inclined to agree with Zozzles on this one

People who just generally bitch on this part of the site and just spout negativety in Reebok Review really get on my tits.

On the whole we have attempted to stick to a game plan pre-season. The people who have bitched about the team's failings on here also bitched about Allardyce's lack of creativity/style and failure to try and keep (or even attempt) a 4-4-2 formation.

Newcastle - shit first half. Whether it be pre-season nerves or whatever, but the second half was a different team. Couple of flukey goals and a possible dissalowed penalty.

Fulham - In a bastard monsoon. Could of gone either way and yet another flukey deflection.

I think we are in better shape than we have been for years and with hopefully keeping Anelka and Diouf we can have a decent run in the League and are looking at mid-table mediocrity at worst.

The people who behave like old women on here should be ashamed of themsleves and start supporting Bolton instead of bitching about them. If you are an old woman then I apologise for tarnishing you with this brush!

I thought you'd agree with me chuck. There's some right moaning owd fecks on here. Glad to see you're not one of them :D

Here's the score; it's a forum, if someone posts something you disagree with then pull them up about it there and then. Don't have a go in another thread, or start a thread to have a pop at people in general, especially when you aren't going to name names. Some people moan about football, some people moan about other people moaning, I don't see an awful lot of difference.

I don't for the life of me see why people try and impose their viewpoint or philosophy on other people, it's never going to happen.

It's a bit like I watch the game, other people like waving their arms around when the opposition put a shot wide even when they are already 3-0 up. Each to their own eh.

Not surprisingly, I agree with Zoz. Just as a baying, passionate and supportive crowd lifts the players, a bunch of negative moaning coonts has the opposite effect. Unfortunately, some people aren't bright enough to see that and subscribe to the 'I've paid me money, I can moan if I want' point of view. Chicken and egg in my view. Which comes first? Success on the park or unwavering support? For my money, the second will always result in more of the first but not necessarily the other way round as evidenced by some of the moaning coonts we have had to put up with during the amazingly successful Allardyce years.

As Bruce Forsyth once said, 'what do points make ? prizes'. Not playing Faye and Meite, or Campo is criminal. Forget nice football, get points on the board and then subtly introduce the total football. You can talk up the new regime all you want, i'm keeping my fingers crossed because i'm very worried.

That's about it

But we are not good enough to sacrifice points for 'style', christ, how arrogant/complacent can we get?

If anyone would really rather watch us win the odd game in style than qualify for Europe, they need their head tested

The raison d'etre of a football fan is to complain, and just as one fan can see a positive in a player, formation, manager, board etc, another can see the negative......live with it. As long as I have been a wanderers fan we have always complained, it is what we do best

Being a Wanderers fan is never dull.....unless Phil Neal gave an interview

Fooking codswallop. I have been a Wanderers fan for over 40 years and have never complained. Don't believe it achieves owt. The raison d'?tre of a football fan is to enjoy the highs to the max because there'll be a lot of lows. The lows make the highs so much better.
