Anyone any idea why he was shrugging his shoulders at the end of the game when he went over to applaud the fans?

I was right in front of him on the front row.He came to applaud the fans and when they did not reciprocate he shrugged his shoulders.

There was an incident about 80 mins when someone played a pass to him in front of ESL. He kind of stumbled and the ESL went mad. Were they having a go at him or had something else happened off the ball?

They definately had it in for Nolan today,where I was sat.First half they were getting on Nicky Hunt's back.Nobby went over to him and seemed to grab and comfort him.

I thought he was dire, drop him and take the captains armband off him.

Nolan might be one of you but he certainly isn't one of me,and we aren't just talking about ONE mistake we're talking about LOTS!Week in week out we get a poor display off him.You aren't one of the "Nolan for England"empty heads by any chance?

Well I suppose if they're slagging Nobby they're leaving Nicky Hunt alone. I can understand why folk are criticising Nolan but I've seen a few sparks of the old Nobby the last two weeks. Shame he fluffed the chance as that would have probably been a massive confidence boost.

In amongst all the gloom (and, to be fair, a lot of praise for the attractive football we are playing), please remember we are 2 points off 10th place. Gutted yesterday as we clearly didn't deserve to lose but I am anything but downhearted. Blind Freddie can see we are streets ahead of at least half a dozen teams in the EPL.

The following seems obvious to me - 1. McCann is a vital part of our midfield. The steel we've been lacking. Taking him off was a basic error. 2. O'Brien must replace Cid as an automatic starter next to Meite.

 

Other than that, onwards and upwards.

We are in transition as most wanted, andit will take time. However, today we saw what I believe to be the embryo of a team going places. Yes we made a couple of mistakes at the back but they can be sorted and the game today was very entertaining from an attacking point of view.

 

We won't rip up trees this seaon but with the best will in the world all the money floating around this league that was never going to happen anyway.

Our shit record this season has nothing to do with the style of football. If Allardyce was still here and we were still playing endless long balls, but Ben Haim and Faye had fucked off, we'd still be conceding the same goals. You can't blame passing football for missed tackles, missed interceptions and crap clearances. Face it, our defence makes the Maginot Line look impenetrable, and there's nothing Sammy Lee can do about that as long as he only has shit players to choose from.

Yes i agree, sell; Anelka, Diouf and Jussi, not local boys. We could have X Factor auditions and put XI fans in the team. All utter shit, lose each game 10-0, but we would be local lads and that is what counts?????

 

You can't play local lads or those who claim to be BWFC thoough and thorugh if they are not good enough. If we sold Nolan, see how much he is 'one of us' then. Remember Wayne Rooney and Alan Smith. Badge kissers take their loyalty with them when someone else is paying their wages
