It would be fookin criminal to get relegated for the sake of a few million quid, when you consider the catastrophic effect going down would have on our club.

I agree with the bit about the 2 players. The right men in them positions would be ideal. Alongside the squad that we have got we would easily be good enough to challenge for a Uefa Cup position.

But how you can talk about relegation with the team that we have got, that is ridiculous. We will have to settle for mid-table mediocrity for this season while Lee gels the squad and then push on next season.

As for the best Everton team for 20 years, I didn't see them outclassing us did you? The last minute goal cost us the point.

5 defeats out of 6 certainly has my alarm bells ringing. I remember when West Ham thought they were too good to go down.

No way will you go down, the whole mentality of your pay has been changed, that will take a while to get used too.

 

It seems like Little Sam is trying to play the way you all wanted, he is getting their...ok slowly, but you are playing some good stuff, not patronising, its true.

 

The game against us was a great game to watch, you couldnt say that abot may of your games last season.

Thanks for the optimism, Pablo.

But at the moment I don't see us building a platform to go forward on. The defence is inadequate (more injuries to an already skeleton defence squad) and LSL's midfield of choice has no legs and no creativity.

The quality & size of the whole squad is better than several other Prem teams. But as Burnden Bogs says, there's no such thing as 'too good to go down' if you keep losing games.

With you 100% on that. Center backs need to have an understanding like two center forwards would. This can only come through minutes on the pitch. Obrien and Meite will be ok with time. what we are mssing is some solid cover in front of the central two. Mccann is no Faye and never will be. The midfield was pants on Saturday. Need to sort this out ASAP!

they were shouting that and it was up to the top left of the stand, gutless faceless sheep. if we do go down they will f.c. off anyway. we countered by singing 'stand up and support the team'. how that encourages the men in white to improve i don't know. a pathetic shout though and one i thought i wouldn't hear. the crowd shouting for a player to come off doesn't help the cause one bit.
