Nice, caught the end of it last night and wondered what the hell it was about. The question I have to wonder is if it is a real gorilla doing the drumming, some people say it is some say not.

It's ok but let's see them teach an elephant to play drums.

No its a little known actor, he's been getting a bit of limelight since it was revealed it was him behind the mask.

Brilliant song but a very strange advert indeed !

Is it bollocks

Heard Jo Whiley and Chris Moyles speaking on radio 1 a couple of weeks ago and apparently (not my words or my thoughts) but the person in the gorilla suit is actually Phil Collins himself, cant see it myself but it makes you wonder???? :unknw:

Revealed: The man behind the drum-playing gorilla suit in Cadbury's ad

Last updated at 14:04pm on 11th September 2007

It turned out to be an inspired advert, even if it sounded plain weird: take one unknown actor, put him in a gorilla suit and get him to play drums to a Phil Collins backing track.

The latest Cadbury's commercial has taken Britain by storm since it launched last month.

Fuelling debate about whether the gorilla is real or not bloggers have been going nuts for the 90 second clip, which was viewed almost 500,000 times on YouTube the week after its release and is part of a ?6.2million advertising campaign.

But, until now, no one had identified the man behind the monkey suit ? with many bloggers believing it was even Collins himself.

The advert's makers have now admitted that he is a little-known actor called Garon Michael.

Something of a specialist, Mr Michael has appeared as a primate in the movies Congo, Instinct and the Planet Of The Apes remake, and acted alongside the likes of Anthony Hopkins, Donald Sutherland and Mark Wahlberg.

:p

You'd have thought they could have got a bloke that could actually play the drums.

I believe that this thread has proven once and for all that most of modern popular culture is incomprehensible to me.

You'd have thought they could have got a bloke that could actually play the drums.

it wouldnt have been believable then
