yes it can include first teamers but a minimum of 6 players in the 25 have to have come through that clubs youth set up.

Lee has made many mistakes, but not picking a player that wasn't in his plans at the time hardly constitutes one of them.

True enough about the September 1st bit, but................

 

Lee's reasoning behind Ivan's omission was that he wasn't wasting a squad place on someone who might leave the club.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the transfer window close before the September 1st cut-off for Uefa selection? Campo couldn't have left after August 31st, so should have made the squad.

I would be suprised if Michalik was not included, so who else has been missed out

So leaving Campo out of his plans, trying to push him out the door, when he has no-one as good to put in the team, is not a mistake by LSL ?

There are quite a few players that should have been as good, and better than Campo but their performances have not been. At the begining of the season I could have named 5 or 6 players that should have kept him out including Nolan that I thought might re-capture his old form this season.

Thing is Zozzy, Campo's class - yes, class - and experience cannot be replaced by cast offs

 

And he plays a VERY specialised position, people think Speed and the like can play that role but they can't. Orthodox 4-4-2 British midfielders can't adapt to it very well it seems.

 

Of course Lee wasn't intending playing anyone in that role, after banging on about 'plan B' he seemingly wrote off 4-3-3 as an option altogether and Campo went with it
