fruitbat69 Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Have 2 problems with my bath at the moment. First the white strip between the bath and the wall has come away leaving gaps. Does anyone know what stuff you can use to solve the problem.I assume it is some kind of resin can be used. Secondly I have a shower over the bath with small 1 inch white square tiles on the wall and it has gone dark in the gaps where the water has hit the side. I have cleaned it but still gone dark. I assume it is the grout that has gone dark. Do you have to grout it or is there waterproof white paint you can paint over the tiles including the grout side to solve the problem. Cheers for any advice.

You can use some Dow Corning 785 silicone available from most local bathroom/plumbers merchant. A piece of advice, when you use it stand in the bath at the same time.
Exiled Girl Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 and fill it up with water indeed. Best to get in the bath, fill it up with water, and stay there until the sealant has dried.

You don't live on that new estate on the other side of the road from the Shell station near the Hunger Hill Tavern do you?
