Cassie beat me to the punch but, as one who has seen football played in four different continents and fourteen different countries; attended over 70 English grounds and 9 in Scotland and missed only three BWFC home games and around 25% of aways between 1967 and 1988, I would venture to suggest that I may, indeed, be a real football fan. First and foremost though a BWFC fan and if that makes me a brainwashed Boltonian, I will wear the badge with pride. I'll argue the point on any style of football you want to talk about mate - catenaccio (look it up); Sir Alfs 4-4-2 - anything. The one thing I have learned in the many years I have avidly followed the game is that it is winning which counts. There are many examples - boring, boring Arsenal and their famous 1-0 margins; the Catenaccio successes in European Cups etc. Mattered not one jot because ther stadia were bulging at the seams to watch trophy winning teams. I think you will find that our crowds under BSA were better than under LSL yet there is no doubt LSL's tactics produced a 'prettier'style of play. You come over as a spoilt young brat who has only ever experienced the highs produced by BSA and never slithered down a slippery mudheap in a freezing cold Shay. This would then mean that you have limited perspective and, presumably, are trying to compare BWFC's style of play to a swashbuckling type of style as played up the road by the filth (who have millions of pounds at their disposal to buy the best).
