clips of both are on here

yes I remember that Burnley away fixture. Shenanigans in town centre...b4 and after.

Hull away on a promotion trail. took over pubs near ground. One boozer was packed 2 capacity when some bright spark saw a couple of lads kicking a football around the car park and decided 2 bring it inside!

A grand game of head tennis ensued in the pub and every time someone missed a header the ball landed breaking copious amounts of glasses!

The bouncers came in and told us to stop and everyone said "f*ck off!..so they went back outside!

At the game there were several pitch invasions, after every goal, during one a bowton fan chinned one of their defenders!

Happy memories. We won wi 10 men...or made a draw can't quite remember!

Mini...................could start a feight with his own shadow!

Athy Whites! Top lads.

Completing a season of attending all BWFC'S away fixtures and not attending any home ones!

Someones great idea. :good:

It may have been mentioned before, but one of my abiding memories of the old place

in the mid 70s was the crackly P A system belting out 'My World is a Football'

and 'Here We Go Again.'

Happy Days

Brilliant days, I agree ! Amongst those "ususal play" tunes was "I`m a Rhinestone Cowboy " Used to go on the embankment, ( prior to the Normid fiasco) the night matches were always special. Those floodlights, they WERE floodlights !

What about Bradford City at home either week before or week after there ground burnt down, Went off like fcuk in the Burnden Stand, seats ripped up the lot by their men. Memories memories :drinks:

Now that IS a top tune! It's right up there with 'Witchita Lineman'! It's one of those feel-good tunes that everyone sings along to. Arsenal have started playing 'The Wonder Of You' before each game and that has the same effect.

'Like a rhinestone cowboy,

Riding out on horse in a star-spangled rodeo...'

On 24 August 1973, 17-year-old Blackpool fan, Kevin Olsson, was stabbed to death at the back of the Spion Kop, Bloomfield Road at Blackpools home match with Bolton Wanderers F.C.[4] It was the start of a long period of hatred between fans of the two clubs and was widely reported as being the first hooligan death at an English football match. Together with Manchester United fans behaviour that year it ushered in a dark era of hooliganism in England. There were numerous attacks on Bolton fans both after the match and in the coming years[5][6]

Earlier that season, in December 1973, Blackpool fans had invaded the Home End at Boltons Burnden Park when the two teams met when they smashed down a gate and stormed into the ground. Speculation was that the stabbing was as a result of that and the stabbing of a Bolton fan by a Blackpool fan in 1970 at Boltons Home ground,Burnden Park.[7]

Did they ever pin it on........................the person everyone knew who did it?
