No your not! see above.

Knew some lads who were meant to be booking this - but I guess they've left it too late now.

Lot's expressed interest and if they had followed it up sooner it would have gone. With deposits looming and not enough actual bookings, it had to be ditched.

The only difference between this flight and that of TMG is the price, oh and you are treated like adults.

I can't understand why people from this board have signed up for the TMG flight and not Happy's trip.

Could those who have booked TMG please explain.

I am not going but I have used TMG before.

Sadly for Happy the proof is in the eating. TMG guarantee a ticket and a 100% refund if the trip is cancelled due to not enough interest.

The blanket brigade will always choose the travel club with wings over Happy's trip, thus pretty much guaranting that the TMG trip will go.

Happy is now stuck with an undeserved reputation of cancelling trips on the less popular away games, so people who are not bothered either way are more likely to book TMG knowing that trip will almost certainly go.

1. The TMG trip was defiantely on. Happys wasn't confirmed as being on.

2. Money back if the match is off (and going off weather forecasts, thats more than a remote possibility).

If TMG cancel trip = money back

If Happy cancels trip = money back

Where's the difference?

As for being guaranteed a match ticket, if your walking past the ground you will be dragged in, so I don't see that as a valid excuse for anyone.

Plus the price was cheaper.

Keep your excuses coming.

I think the point they are trying to make is that TMG don't cancel whereas Happy has had to cancel 50% of his, due to lack of interest. It's a bit of a problem trying to arrange travel last minute to obscure places

I used Happy tours for Portugal and they were top notch.

I would have used Happy's for Munich but wanted to go weds to fri which happy couldn't do so organised it myself.

Someone keeps hijacking your login details. That has to be about the 10th sensible posting you have made in the last week or so :good:

Regarding Easy Al - Happy is an honest guy who has cancelled the trips before he has had to pay out for the plane - so everyone gets their money back and has time to make alternative arrangements. Now if Happy went ahead with the plane booking and then cancelled the trip after he had paid a deposit, I am damm sure he would look at recovering his outlay one way or another.

With TMG it is a 100% guaranteed refund all the way upto the game being cancelled due to bad weather - never mind the plane not flying.

If you are committed to going watching Bolton in Serbia and Macedonia on a day trip - you want a 100% guarantee that the flight will go and TMG have a proven record.

Why exactly should anybody explain themselves to you?

This weather forecast suggests the match should go ahead. The coffee hut might be busy if people have to sit in the ground six hours.

Due to work commtments I wasn't 100% sure till yesterday that I could make the trip.

Not enough leave left so a day trip it has to be, only day trip option left was TMG.

As of this morning TMG have 15 seats left. So it looks like there were never enough "day trippers" for this trip to fill two planes (sorry I couldn't committ sooner Happy)

TMG are not cheap at ?260 especially as you can still fly BA from Heathrow for ?61 with airmiles :( and Munich did not cost me not much more than this day trip for three days (including beer vouchers). If I had the leave it would definitely be an overnighter.

Ditto - exactly the same for me.

Thanks for some of the support in this thread.

May I add that TMG would cancel if the numbers where not enough. They will not fly and make a loss.

If memory serves me right, they pulled a play for England once.

They may refund and so do we.

Has for being guaranteed a ticket flying with TMG. That is a load of bollux. You must be able to purchase a matchday ticket first by means of being a season ticket hold, then a member/lifeline and lastly open sale. The ticket situation is a red herring with the club doing it to make it more attractive for those that cannot see beyond the witting 'includes a match ticket'.

I must stress that on canceling the flight I gave those that booked the opportunity to switch to TMG as I knew there where places still available. I didn't leave it to the last minute so people would be stranded without a flight. I personally phoned everyone up to explain the situation and to pass on the details of TMG.
