In our present plight I'm hard pressed to see a draw. I suspect Newcastle will beat us cuase Allardyce will have been sacked by then and the players will give their party peice to the supporters (i.e look what we can do when he's not here). We've failed to get a point away from home for ages now and we've been very lucky at home, Birmingham self destructed and we made heavy whether of beating the easiest team in the world, Derby. The positive for last night is we beat a Paul Jewel side for the first time in years if not ever.

 

We've a long hard struggle ahead and we need 33 points before mid March to stand a chance of staying up. given that of our last 6 matches four of them are away from home. We need maximum points from all our home games - and no slip ups - to avoid relegation. We need players in and now, whether we sell Anelka or not.

to think we will get anything at any away game in our current plight is very optimistic....we couldn't get anything at Sunderland so why Newcastle?

 

I also think for smiley to suggest that we will beat a good blackburn side is optimistic.

 

As stated before every year i do a score / points predictor by the turn of the year i predicted 26 pts and 43 at the end of the season....

 

we were at the turn 9 worse than that with 17pts....

 

Our second half of the season isn't attractive at all hard aways at Newcastle 0, Reading 0, Blackburn 0, Utd 0, Wigan 1, Villa 0, Boro 1 and Chelsea 0...

I predicted only 17pts from the remainder including last night...

 

I don't think any of the above predictions are unrealistic? 34 will see us down i think!!!

maybe my predictions are based on hope and "we're due a result".

Fulham - are poor and however unconvincing, we have beaten Wigan, Birmingham and Derby in recent weeks - all proverbial 6-pointers.

Blackburn - yes, we are "due" a home win over them. Our home form isn't that bad. They've been indifferent recently after a great start to the season.

Newcastle - again we are "due" a result away from home. We won there last year. We should be able to raise our game against our former manager. A point should not be out of our reach.

I haven't predicted any further. But I have a sneaky feeling the bottom 3 teams will go down with record low number of points.

 

I think 35 will be enough this season. 5 more wins. Just 5 more wins. Think positive!
