Jussi

Thought Jussi lacked passion yesterday. He normally cheers when we score, but he didn't look the least bit bothered that Nolan had scored a cracker.

Jussi or Simon Farnworth?

I've never known such a tall keeper make himself look so small in the nets what a fcuk wit he is, he should've been dropped many many moons ago, give someone a chance who's commited to the cause

any reason why we put a midget on the post for the 1st goal?

any reason why we put a midget on the post for the 1st goal?

it frees up the tall players to challenge for headers off the corners etc

was a bit of a fluke goal for them

any header with power would've troubled a taller defender anyway

not even worth being critical about who covers the posts

Jussi or Simon Farnworth?

Good question:

Jussi - a keeper who never comes off his line

Farnworth - a keeper who came off his line but missed or dropped everything

p.s. was Simon Farnworth the last Bolton keeper to not wear gloves in games played on dry days?

time for him to go . didnt look arsed yesterday

good bye and f##k off... too many clangers, no heroics, just bog standard this season

Has someone changed the title of this thread from "idiot roll call"?

Both the Jackburn goals were pretty lucky.

Both the Jackburn goals were pretty lucky.

he started and failed to come for the first, slightly unlucky for the second, but a better balanced keeper wouldve stood longer, a stronger keeper may have blocked... i dont expect folk to agree, but have to see jussi is not of the calibre he thinks, a move to 'big four' is unlikely, and if it comes off he will be playing second fiddle if this seasons performances are anything to go by

Bring back Steve Banks before he signs for Glasgow Rangers from Hearts - ::::lol::::

Simon Farnworth was a top penalty stopper, anyone remember that season he saved about 6-

JIM McDONAGH BEST GOALIE I EVER SEEN FOLLOWED BY KB WHO WAS ALSO BRILLIANT FOR US

Anyone remember that season Jussi saved two in five minutes against Blackburn?

doesnt warrant a place in the team now though, neither were great penalties- something is missing from then- dunno if its down to the lack of protection, lack of confidence, lack of form, or lack of focus- something needs to be changed

Terrible debut though! 0-3 v Blackpool if memory serves.

That does ring a bell.

The fans voted him player of the season in 84/85 so it was probably then but i can't remember one specific match he saved one in.

Mike Salmon at Walsall in 86/87 is the first one i can remember in the 80s.

You're talking shite.

He was at fault for the first goal yesterday, granted.

That doesn't mean he's not still one of the best goalkeepers in the league.

Drop Jussi for a few games, if Habsi does well keep him in if not bring Jussi back after a few games ...

mind elsewhere im afraid

give him a pat on the back an a thanks for ten years and tell him that as he wont be here next season al habsi takes over .

how is it shite? you have agreed with 50% with what i have said, but he is not performing like one of the best, he was worth eight points last season without doubt

form is temporary, clas in permanant- he is neither on form or permanant

Farnworth saved 3 penalties in 8 days against Shrewsbury (League Cup away),Doncaster away and Walsall home in 84/85

He also saved one at Wigan on Boxing Day 1983 after Steve Thompson had saved a shot from Graham Barrow. And another at Sheffield United a few days later.

50%? Where did you go to school, you goon?

Charlie Wright for me, he was ace in the late 70s

50%? Where did you go to school, you goon?

i stated he doesnt automatically deserve to start, you agreed he was at fault.

i suggested there could be a reason for these average displays, you applied the blinkers and started chatting shit.

i once saved four penalties in a shoot out, doesnt mean i still deserve a starting spot for Beechfield U15s

you goon

you goon

:D

Without wanting to labour the point (not too much more, anyway), being at fault for a goal and deserving a spell on the bench are two very different things.

And me conceding he was at fault hardly constitutes 50% concurrence with your drivel.

by a few, i guess you mean 3 or 4

loser them and we're bottom again

by which time the finns toys are through the window

jussi is a top keeper as folk will realise when he's gone

remember that fat manager we had who folk whinged about

and he's the best keeper i've seen for us, just edging mcdonagh
