The New Right Back

And I'm not in the anti-Hunt brigade. On first impressions the positions his.

Very impressive debut.

Looked strong and he can throw it long.

In one word "brillant".

Yep, looks like a prem right back.

To deviate, but around right backs; JOB?

We have trillions of midfielders, but include him, poss out of position, or is it JOB for Campoid?

In another word: brilliant!

seems promising but don't get carried away with one game.

i remember Steve McAnespies debut v QPR in our first prem season.

Steve Mc Anuspie looked a world beater that day, didn't he?

Even though Hunt is utter shite at times ill be sad to see him go (if he does) coming through the academy an all

but we do need more quality

thought he was going to be the new Maldini but turned out to be the worst professional player I have ever seen

Steinsson was VERY solid on his "dayboo" like him already, gotta love the icelanders have they ever let us down ? Hunt and him for right back can only be good for the team, pity we let him slip away 5 years ago.

If any one is to go because of the new arrival it must be JOB, another Dean Holden. Looked outstanding for the first 6 months then never got it back after injury.

Nicky Nunt will take over at centre back in the coming months. Megson sees qualiites in him and passing isnt one.

Fact ITK I know his mate bang on.

Not sure if you are taking the p?ss there Smiffs

But I wouldn't be surprised to see Hunt given a game or two at CB, and I wouldn't rule him out of being reasonable there, his defensive instincts are pretty good

sure he's played at CB before for england u21's. maybe a few are gonna have to become more versatile and get used to different roles

as ginger gaz shapes his squad.

I have seen Hunt play centre back for the youth team and he was excellent, but for me he is too lightweight to play in that role can you imagine him tryng to combat the likes of Berbatov, Anelka and Drogba, the thought is turning me cold as I type.

Steve McAnespie's Story?

McAnespie, Assistant Coach and player for the Shell Shockers, like the Ostroske's decided to ride out the storm in New Orleans.

McAnespie usually resides with coach Kenny Farrell, who is currently safe and sound in North Carolina, but was staying at in a friend?s house in the City Park area of New Orleans at the time. The house was not far from the Pan American and Tad Gormley Stadiums. The two stadiums in City Park are under water at this time.

As the water rose, McAnespie had to go higher and higher in the house before finally ending up on the roof of his friend?s home alone and with no supplies.

Finally, after two days of being stranded on the roof McAnespie was found and rescued by a Coast Guard helicopter.

From the staging area he was brought to Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Thibodaux is about 60 miles Southwest of New Orleans. From there, McAnespie made his way to Baton Rouge, Lafayette and the Texas cities of Beaumont and Houston.

From Houston, McAnespie caught a flight and is currently in the Atlanta area with friends.

A native of Scotland, McAnespie has been in the US since 2003 helping Farrell coach the Shell Shockers and does not plan to leave the US for the milder, but still damp, climates of his homeland after his experience with the hurricane

Ha, remember that debut. Great player, erm maybe not.

Wolves away, worst performance ever by any Bolton player (first half). We had the whole of the bottom tier along the side and he got loads of abuse.

Steinsson looks a darm sight better than Stevie though.

More like these please

would like to see steinsson given a go at centre back,

thought he had a cracking debut,

thought taylor did ok, i think they'll both be good signings for us.

How can you leave davies out

I think Miete is OK, so would not discount him altogether.

I know he is a bit gormless and can go walkabout but with a solid talkative partner at the side of him i.e. Ben Haim I think he does a good job man marking the quicker centre forwards.

He just needs a regular flea in the ear to keep him on his toes.

Plus I like his and Jussi's little spats they seem to have frequently!
