Its hard to find anyone for a decent price nowadays with all the rich foreign fuckkers throwing the cash about. Im just glad Gartsides actually found the cheque book.

Guest squidgy66 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Guthrie has been player of the season so far for me. Can't fault his work rate and, whilst his game sometimes lacks consistancy, he is one of the best players of his age in the league.
jules_darby Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I think Guthrie is currently a "good" player - he works well, strikes a very clean ball and has a good footballing brain. His deciaion making can be a little immature / naive but then this is his first season in the top flight and he has the potential to be much better than "good". You don't play regular top flight football at 20 if you don't have something about you - particularly in central(ish) midfield where games are ultra-competitive and won or lost. His biggest negative in my opinion are those really wanky tattoos on his forearms. We're a better team with him in it.
Ani Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 we have him till the end of the season so lets forget singing him. we need a big fcuk off centre half, who can play a bit and organise the defence. we then need a fast as fcuk billy whizz forward who can also play abit. ?3m or so for the defender, got to be over ?5m for the forward....... they need to be able to come striaight into the team as well none of this gettign used to the pace bollocks
