Rembrandt Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 But then again, the way Megson is acquiring centre-backs & wing-backs, who knows what's going through his head. I sure couldn't see the point last night, sat in the Reebok.

And thats why you are sat in the Reebok, and hes stood on the touch line
LeggyMountbatten Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I'd put my money on Megson playing 5-3-2 from now on. It's the formation he's played where ever he's managed. I think Taylor and Steinsson were bought for this reason also as they will make good wing backs. ?5 million for someone that's played 20 odd league games in the PL is a lot but I haven't heard anyone say he's shit yet so hopefully he'll be a good un.

Happy Wanderer Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Colin Todd tried wing-backs and that got us no where.
scoobydoo Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I think that side could achieve the required points needed for safety, where's Diouffy though? oops sorry !!!! diouf for davies or guthrie ??
LeggyMountbatten Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I don't agree with it but it's what I think he will do.
Rembrandt Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 No-one plays wing-backs anymore. Correct ....... they're a daft idea anyway, expecting 2 of the 10 outfield guys to run themselves silly up & down each flank and never getting caught out of position. The question is, given his buys this month & who he favours of the existing players, what system is he looking to use - if any.
