I Read With Great Joy...

I believe that anyone who marches up and down Downing Street demanding 40% pay rises and then expects the public to display car stickers and wear supportive baseball hats should indeed be assaulted. I would go a step further and employ gangs of youths with housebricks and bottles to hide round corners and attack these people as they drive up and down the streets occasionally pretending to 'respond' to a 'call.' Attacks were up to 1,500 in total over the most recent 12 month reporting period and while this does represent a welcome upward trend, the hard work starts now. We cannot afford complacency. Here are the Scotland figures:

Strathclyde - 171

Lothian and Borders - 71

Grampian - 8

Fife - 36

Highlands and Islands - 3

Dumfries and Galloway - 3

Central - 14

Tayside - 10

GET A GRIP HIGHLANDS AND ISLANDS AND DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY; YOU ARE LETTING THE SIDE DOWN. And a big thanks to those from Strathclyde whose efforts do not go unnoticed.

So close.

Quiet day today. That's what you get in this job. 30 hour weeks for a time then WHAM!! 100 hours a week for 6 months at a time whilst men in turbans try and ruin your day by killing you.

And I'll tell you what else, fishing whilst levitating is one hell of a talent

Personally, I think that these knobs who through bricks and generally abuse the firemen when they are trying to do their duty, should be fair game for the firemen. The firemen should be allowed to turn their hoses on them, and hit them with their axes.

As an aside, do you find you sweat a lot in the Welephant suit Micky, or is it well ventilated?

they attract too much attention to themselves in their big red engines, sirens blazing, big yellow helmets... i have no sympathy, if they were more inconspicuous they wouldnt have half the problems

seriously any knob who attacks any of the services, with possibly the exceptions of the coast guard and the AA, should be fed to wolves and thrown in a furnace

I think part of the reason Welephant has gone from the kids education side is that you couldn't get people to wear the suits. Yes they're hot. Yes, they're smelly.

I never actually tried it. When I'm at a loose end at work I try and read something or teach the new lad something that may, one day, come in useful for him and maybe even make his job easier or even save his life. That's what you do; teach newer firefighters what you have learned in the 22 years you've been learning yourself.

Strangely, I never once thought tumbledrying myself would amount to much except trouble.

So, you think playing pool will help the new lad in his life do you?

I had a extremely hot chilli for dinner and fire snakes have been rattling out my arse ever since

In your 22 years of experience, what do you advise is the best way for me to put them out?

half inch jet on end of hose. Insert said jet up arse. Set pump at 5 bars and let it rip.

how did welephant get his name?

is it aparticularly healthy elephant?

i fail to see the relvance to fire saftey.

It's an elephant with wellies on. See if you can work it out.
