i got caught on belmont rd, and in order to avoid ?80 and points they offered me a "driver speed awareness course" where you spend half a day driving while some bloke sits next to you telling you the dangers of speed etc. i didn't do it as i couldn't be arsed and it cost ?95 but it might be worth it if, say you already have a few points and dont want to risk losing the licence completley.

for the record, and not that i'm sore about it or owt, i was doing 36 on the 30 part of belmont rd at quarter to six in the morning TW*TS

i dont think north wales do that

You shouldn't have accepted 35 in a 30 you can't get convicted for it in court,you have to be at least 10% +2miles per hour over the speed limit,the 10% is to allow for weather conditions which affect radar and the camera accuracy and then the 2mph is for the accuracy of your speedometer but if you accept it on the roadside you are accepting that you were in the wrong so will get the points and fine.

Don't get how you get a speeding ticket off of a gatso it's a bright yellow box with nice lines drawn on the road to warn you.

 

however i have been in the car when my grandad was caught by a copper with radar gun hiding behind a sub-station which is just plain sneaky.

Nearly got caught on an industrial estate (big huge one) up here in Scotland. Now can understand when the police set a speed trap in a residential built up area at tea time with kids chasing footballs, ive cream vans and rival gangs, but to sit with a radar gun on an industrial estate with no pedestrians, schools or owt with stupid speed limit of 30mph (2 lanes each eay) is just stealth taxing.
