June 5, 200818 yr There was a question on Century sport last night asking who is the most capped bolton wanderers player, anyone know the answer?
June 5, 200818 yr Ambiguous question really. Caps while a Bolton player e.g Gardner? Caps at any time e.g Hierro? Or seeing as Ani has reprogrammed this game so that he has unlimited lives... It could be Shilton. Edited June 5, 200818 yr by jayjayoghani
June 5, 200818 yr There was a question on Century sport last night asking who is the most capped bolton wanderers player, anyone know the answer? June 5, 200818 yr Mark Fish I think? capped 34 times while at Bolton for South Africa Nat Lofthouse capped 33 times for England. Looked it up on ask Albert? Edited June 5, 200818 yr by Northern Dancer
June 5, 200818 yr Mark Fish I think? capped 34 times while at Bolton for South AfricaNat Lofthouse capped 33 times for England. Looked it up on ask Albert? Surely Gardner and Jussi have got more than 34 caps whilst with us. I think Gardner has got 50+ caps. The vast majority whilst with Bolton
June 5, 200818 yr Peter Shilton 125 Caps for England, played against Wolves in the Play-Off semi Final against Wolves. and one sub appearance
June 5, 200818 yr Mark Fish is listed in our official records as being the most capped player whilst at the club... ...I agree with the above though, surely this is now out of date and is an oversight by the club. Gardner is listed on FIFA as having 23 appearances in World Cup (finals and qualifiers). So add on all the CONCAF games, and he is way above the 34 of Mark Fish (wikipedia lists him s having 58). Jussi has just about equalled Mark Fish with 34 - it all depends how upto date the records are you find on the web. So Ricardo Gardner it is with 58-ish
June 5, 200818 yr Surely Jussi has got more than 34 caps whilst with us. Do not forget they he was understudy to Niemi while he was at Southampton for quite some time.

June 5, 200818 yr Do not forget they he was understudy to Niemi while he was at Southampton for quite some time. Jussi has 42 caps according to Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finland_national_football_team All of these whilst at BWFC.
June 5, 200818 yr Be Gardner or Jussi - it ain't Mark Fish anymore. So, some fcuk wit at BWFC needs to update our official club history.

June 5, 200818 yr ricardo 52 caps but not all whilst at bolton.this is exciting is nt it ? Tis for me Article from when Gardner signed. The plot thickens. http://archive.theboltonnews.co.uk/1998/7/1/797805.html The deal was completed yesterday although Garner must await a work permit, a formality considering the Calypso Kid has already won more than 30 caps for his country.
June 5, 200818 yr How many caps as the spitting one got while playing for use, seems to have ben too at lease 2 ANC's 43 caps in total. Suggest a good few of these were before he signed for us.

June 5, 200818 yr On a roll now. http://www.jamaicafootballfederation.com/n...eams_senior.htm Gardner has 87 caps. ah but is that agreed with FIFA. That 87 could include games that Jamica classify as internationals but not FIFA. Don't Iran, Iraq, Saudi or some other dodgey middle east country, claim one of their players holds the world record number of appearances but most of these games are not recognised by FIFA? As far playing 30 games for Jamaica before he joined us - that can't be right. 30 appearances before he was 19 and only 57 since?!!

June 5, 200818 yr that can't be right. 30 appearances before he was 19 and only 57 since?!! presumably before he signed for us his knees didn't snap every 12 months
