Breaking The Transfer Budget - But Realistically On Who?

Featured Replies

Elmander - i hope not as i would not say he's more than ?8m

Baros - if so i'll top myself

Cisse - maybe?

Gomis - no as he recently signed a new deal with St Etienne

Who else would that leave that we have been linked to? Not many which means that Megson/Gartside must be doing something on the slide. I'm sure Bolton have scouts at Euro 2008 but i don't think Megson has visited there - prob just watchin the Tele at home!

Given his record in the transfer market so far what leads you to believe he is at home watching Garth & the boys?

Would you prefer us to go back to Our Craig trousering six figure sums for his assistance in signing Idan Tal?

If we're breaking the bank: let's just get Ronaldo (not the fat Brazilian one), Kaka and Deco to play just behind them in our new 4-1-2-1-2 formation.

Now, you're talking through your arse. It's a British team Megson wants!

Rooney, Gerrard and Lampard then.

It's a f?cking doddle this transfer window malarkey.

He's not a bad 'un, is he?

He'd be good down the right for us, or even through the centre.

But 2 things: (1) He'd be expensive and (2) you've not provided the obligatory YouTube highlights!

Nobody has suggested it's a proposed transfer.

Mounts simply said he'd like us to sign him.

Brother-cum-Agent?

Is that a Blackburn Incest Video?

Seriously though, Peter Harrison's his real agent and also Jussi's. He'll have made some coin this month if they both sign.

But yes, that would be a cracking deal to keep him for another 4 yrs. Don't say it to loud, but I'm quite impressed by the way the club are just quietly getting on with things, instead of having daily press calls on Sky Sports News, like Sam did.

what a negative, lacking ambition club

We are at last signing players who's values will only go up, good youngish players with potential to play at the top end of the game, that excites me as much as seeing past legends like hierro, and for our club a wise and excellent change of policy.

I have heard this a and similar arguments from many boltonians, it was usually the old chestnut, " Bolton don't want to get into the top flight they would rather stay at the top end of the 2nd division and gloriously fail to get promoted" that argument has now moved on to Bolton never spend owt, so I going to the reebok to watch em, there will be always some excuse for people not to go, your either a white for life, which means you support BWFC or your not.

I will have a little wager with you that we spend serious money on a striker, 6 million plus would be serious money, how about ?20.

Gartside says the striker will a record fee for Bolton ie more than ?8m.

Hows about Javier Saviola from Real Madrid?, hes up for sale and had always scored goals, I know Big Sam was interested in him a few years ago, not sure if hes Megsons type of player though

Good shout that man :good:

I know it's probably MASSIVELY unlikely but i'm going to go for Eto'o

Barca have confirmed they are in talks with clubs for Eto'o & Ronaldinho but just not confirmed who.

Megson will be using his persuasive words to bring him to the Reebok as a 'Stepping Stone' to another big club ;)
