Walls of Jericho

They were named after overhearing two bus drivers in Bury, you know.

1st one asked the second where he was going: he replied "Th'interchange, then Jericho."

Jericho otherwise knows as that turning circle about 100yds past Fairfield hospital.

Was most dissapointed first time i went there.

Were you expecting big stone walls and fruit-laden trees?

yup, wll maybe not but something a bit more than a bus turning circle.

The band were disappointed too, when they got there.

It did however inspire the title of their biggest hit: Big Area.

The bloke who used to work in Booth's music in the guitar bit played for them, along with the one handed bassist. I had a cassette of their 'EP' it was shite.

Oh and how about The Young Gods.

I might be being numb, but how does that work?

I saw a one-handed busker playing a guitar in Liverpool last week and he wasn't bad at all, he used his hook as a plectrum type thingy. I would imagine the one-handed bassist did the same.

Dr Hook out of Dr Hook and the Medicine Show did Ok for himself with a hook.

Actually, come to think of it I'm not sure he did have a hook

Ah I see, I was assuming just one arm, as in no hook or artificial limb on the other!

Impressive anyway.

Status Quo's guitarist only had 1 arm. Well, it sounded like it.

he was neither hooked nor a doctor, ray sawyer was the lead singer, with an eye patch.

Aye, and he sang the theme tune to a Tampon advert.

Surely, Dr. White should have got that gig.

was it a real eye patch?

well, OK, obviously it was, but what I mean is did he only have one eye?

Actually what would be really odd is if he'd only got one eye but wore the eye patch over the good one!
