I'd imagine the couple of offers in might be for Helgusson + Meite (definately Meite). Helgusson wasn't playing again tonight and he can't still be injured as he was supposed to be playing on Tuesday in his injury comeback. Hopefully the few players we're close to signing is at least 1 CB and a striker (plus pref 1 more midfielder)

 

Nice to see Elmander got a couple on his debut and also the midfielders are starting to chip in. Agree with Davies commenting on how without Anelka the "team" might be better and with Elmander and the others around him hopefully his and everybody else's goal tally should increase on last season. Interesting to see who plays against Chorley tomorrow. Prob a reserve/youth line up i.e. Walker, Meite, Fojut, Cohen, Dzemaili, Helgusson, Vaz Te, Woolfe etc.

He did, had offers for two players that were not currently acceptable and we have offers on two players awaiting a response. He also stated that if the initial two failed they would still try to get others in which makes me think the scounting network is producing options for him?

Megson did say we had a couple of offers in and out by the way. The goals were good. JOB scored an absolute cracker.

Was enjoyable to watch. Davies put himself about a bit and the home crowd took a dislike :-)

He was booed off when subbed.

 

Thought Muamba played well - gave us more energy in midfield.

 

Few pints and a curry in tickhill afterwards so not a bad result all round :-)

 

Not sure what to make of Elmander yet - it was only a friendly after all.........
