Results Day

Featured Replies

Already found out I've got into my Uni of first choice. :drinks:

Now got to go school and find out what my actual results are.

Should be a good day though :)

Will you probably get 3 "A" grades like about 75% of the kids who took the exams?

Ahhhh memories.... getting my results, walkin up into Bury and getting well and truly pasted... then ending up in Ratlantis until the early hours and walking home to Little Lever, eating pavement just outside my house.

Congrats :drinks:

Congrats, another academic to challenge the brains that is Jonathan.

Fair point.

In fact, I'll hold my hands up and say it was a cheap jibe, sorry. At least you made the effort and did some exams, which is better than some scrotes manage/attempt

Our Ashey might be a bit of a card BUT I have to say he does have his head screwed on which is more than I can say of most lads of his age!

There I said it, you'll get no more compliments from me in the near future, sonny! :D

How many UCAS points does that get you?

Do you want me to pop over to your workplace and you can properly tongue my puckered balloon knot? Actually I won't even ask, see you in Starbucks in 20 mins.

Not a clue and couldn't give a f?ck

What an awful image.

The only reason I ask is for the following job, best job in the world for me and for whatever reason never went for it when I was younger. Did a bit of looking into this the other day only to find out that I'm too old (26). I was gutted big time and wish I was more motivated when I was younger. They'll even sponsor you through uni too.

Nice salary after training ?33k, retire from the RAF and then become a Commercial Airline pilot on a fat wedge knocking a naive air hostess every other week.

Or do that whilst earning and not have to pay back a loan and come out with a shit degree and get a job then, which I have a good chance of getting now.

Hmm, tough choice

you do though, have to get out of bed on a daily basis, during the week

University is a waste of time and money for at least half the people there. No one who wants to do some honest work at either 16 or 18 rather than further education should be discouraged, provided they don't end up on unemployment benefits (sorry, "incapacity").

A good way around that would be that you can't claim anything, until you have put something in. There are plenty of training schemes and the such like for folk to go on. No way shoiuld anybody be claiming benefits when they first leave school.

:good: Amen to that. A home truth Australia has now discovered as they are having to import skilled men to do the real work whilst they've produced an army of 'managers', IT geeks and marine biologists from universities.

Massive reality check required.

University was the finest three years of my life.

Downhill ever since.
