Anybody remember Trilpe Vintage now that was a cider. whatever happened to it

Hunters Gold.....South African Cider.

cornish rattler

If you want to drink a load of cider and not get that gassy bloated feeling, then Kopparberg pear Cider is the one.

If you want to get obliterated very quickly: it's Thatchers.

I've been duly informed that the Kopperberg summer fruits cider is far superior to its pear brother; not tried it though, its been a welcomed recommendation.

That thatchers is shite. F?ckin stinks, tastes shite and makes you spew your ring up the next morning. Not my idea of a nice drink

The Summer fruits one is very more-ish (like crack!): it tastes like Vimto.

I don't like the Thatchers either.

Dont take my word for it but i think you can buy it in asda, 3 bottles for ?4

Vimto flavoured alcohol isn't new.

A measure of port with a bottle of blue WKD tastes like vimto too.

BUT I will not buy nor drink an alcopop, so yes it is new to me. They are full of sugar and shit and drunk by children and chavs.

Isn't this fruit cider lark more natural?

Yes it is. I've just looked it up on the interweb:

Kopparberg Apple Cider with Mixed Fruit offers a different twist

to the traditional cider flavour. We take our Kopparberg Apple Cider

and add the juice of blackcurrants and rasberries to produce

a truly distinctive fruity taste, rich in colour and

refreshing down to the last special drop

:good:

If you like Pear Cider: try the St.Helier one.

Trafs reet:

Replacing Coke - (calm down, not the powdered variety)

Vodka & Fizzy Vimto

Bacardi & Fizzy Vimto

Instead of Blackcurrant Cordial

Pernod & Vimto

Rum & Vimto

Gonk the Mixologist

Morrisons "The Best" cider is a suprisingly superb drink :good:

Vodka & Fizzy Vimto,

That's the way to go.

But, to muddy the waters a little and do yet another cross-thread reply.

Vodka with D&B is far nicer.

That goes without saying.Cos D&B is better than Fizzy Vimto IMO.

No,been did not know what i was on about,

maybe as well as the piss up is off the girl is tried

ASDA only sell the pear variety of Kopparberg: ?8 for 8 500ml cans.

Tesco sell the mixed fruit flavour in 500 ml bottles at about ?1.90 each.

Bottled cider tastes much much better than canned.

PS Tesco sell the St Helier Pear Cider: 3 x 500ml bottles for ?4.

Vimto flavoured alcohol isn't new.

Indeed. We distilled alcohol in chemistry at school, diluted it with vimto, and voted on which fraction tasted best (it was either the 4th or 5th - somewhere around the middle as I remember)

Indeed. We distilled alcohol in chemistry at school,

sound far more interesting than my Chemistry classes, the most exciting thing we did was burn a bit of Magnesium
