I know some people are gonna disagree with me here but why the fahook is Matt Taylor starting above Ricard Gardner?? When Taylor was injured, Gardner was playing well with some good link up play with J Lloyd Samual. Yes Matt Taylor scored a screamer against West Ham but how many of them does balloon over the goal. Look a lastnight for example when he smashed the free kick miles into ther south stand.

 

Matt Taylor is rubbish. He doesnt run at defenders and when he does get into a decent postion he turns back and passes inside or back to J Llyod. When every1 in the crowd can see the amount of space available for him to dribble into and threaten the full back!! He offers nothing down the left wing and is sh*te. Yes we know he has a good shot but he needs to offer more on that left flank!!

 

Ricardo would be down that line and trying to attack the full back all game long using his momentum, agility and speed to get into the box.

 

Im getting the impression he is Megsons love child and he wont drop him because he has paid ?3.5 million for him and doesnt want him labelled as one of his flop purchases.

Lastnight Taylor should have been replaced around the 50 minute by Ricardo so we had a bit of width in our team!

I wasn't there on Wednesday but at the Blackburn game Cahill was stood by the keeper for every corner I can remember, and we had a few of them.

Agree, in fact everybody who played out wide was poor. Taylor, Samuel, Steinsson & Riga were all poor, none of them put a good ball in all night.

Why don't you play 3 Midfielders, 2 wingers and Davies up top ??

 

I really dont understand why you play Elmander and Davies the way you do.

 

Taylor is a good player, well he was for the 6 years before getting to Bolton.

I think Riga and Steinsson in a 442 is an accident waiting to happen. At least in a 4-3-2-1 there's some midfield cover when our attack breaks down.

An with Cahill, you have a player that will go on to play for England.

Obrien and jussi do not come out of recent games well at the moment, jussi,s handling and commandment are woeful and was highlighted moreso on wednesday as Howards handling and command of the box was superb, I think Al habsi should defineitely get his chance, Obrien worries me to death, he makes 1 big mistake every game, I would be looking to shift out shittu and get in a commanding centre half in January.

I like some of the ideas on this thread for alternative teams to tackle the problems we have, and I'd like to see them trialled. But too many players seem to have had fixed places in the team for far too long, and I can't really see that changing in the near future.

According to this, he starts a suspension on November 5th.

 

Maybe he's scheduled for a fifth booking on Sunday.

Thats one of Megson's biggest downfalls imo, when things are going wrong he doesnt seem to have the vision to try something new. He just seems to stick with same old same old and hopes it comes off.
