Young Dale striker apparently on verge of signing... few mates who are Dale Fans and they rave about this young lad.

I've seen him a few times and he does have a bit of potential. He seems fairly skillful and has a bit of pace. Didn't have a lot of end product when I watched him and he was the player who the fans were having a go at when Keith Hill snapped and had a go back at the fans.

 

In fairness to him, I think he's 18 so plenty of time to develop. The rumour is that we will loan him back to Dale for the rest of the season.

But ........ we've got Smolarek, Harsanyi & Obadeyi waiting for a 1st team game.

Seems an odd signing (if true), but then 200K is a risk worth taking.

I can't imagine that there is any intention of him competing for a 1st team place for a couple of years yet.

Buckley beat 5 players on a dribble last Saturday then was pulled down and won a pen. the thing what I didn't understand was he never tried to take anyone else on in the rest of the game. he does seem to have skill but fails to use it, may be another one for the future.
