YATESY Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 (edited) Is he injured? has he died? or does meggo realise he made a mistake and he' not that good? not been included in the last few squads and i can't remember the last time he played a game Have a look at the Bolton News today for all you need to know: Fans are keeping me alive - Riga8:00am Saturday 7th March 2009 RIGA has revealed it is only the love of the fans which is helping him cope with his Wanderers frustration. The winger has started just three games since joining from Levante in the summer. His Reebok career stalled after picking up an ankle injury against Manchester City in November. But since returning to full fitness, the 27-year-old has struggled to break into Gary Megson?s side, and has been left out of the squad completely for the last three games. Riga has been frustrated by his inactivity but he says he is determined to battle his way back into the manager?s plans ? and repay the faith Wanderers supporters have shown in him. ?If it wasn?t for the fans I would already be dead, but they keep me alive,? said the Dutch forward. For more on this story see Saturday's edition of The Bolton News I can remember the last game he appeared in and I was amazed it took Megson so long to sub-the-sub at Arsenal. YATESY Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 By the way YATESY, do you live on this site your constantly on it :: Kids happily watching Ben 10 so thought I would nip on for 10 minutes. Was actually looking for the phone number of a mechanic in Bury, so glad you popped on!
Smiffs Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 He couldn't pass wind, but he looks like he could be a good player. Thats the mentality of some of our fans.
Big E Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 the sooner his contract is cancelled the better. sadly the idiots keep chanting for him as he looks like jj
Guest Biff Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 To answer your question BigE, Latvia. His last appearance was as sub for Makulele at Everton.
Guest YW Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 so Riga is shit and we should get rid, whats different about Megson?
Big E Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 so Riga is shit and we should get rid, whats different about Megson? we are mid table and he is not that bad. the trouble is the masses have decided he is shit and won't have it any other way.
Guest YW Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 (edited) just seems harsh after it seems to be give "meggo a chance", "get off meggos back" etc etc but Rigas shit and we should get rid. well who fooking signed him!!!!!!!!! Edited March 7, 2009 by YW
Big E Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 just seems harsh after it seems to be give "meggo a chance", "get off meggos back" etc etc but Rigas shit and we should get rid. well who fooking signed him!!!!!!!!! people say he hasn't had a chance. whenever i have seen him play he has been bobbins and struggled to find anyone wearing the same coloured shirt. as much as you may enjoy chanting his name he is not good enough
Ani Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 just seems harsh after it seems to be give "meggo a chance", "get off meggos back" etc etc but Rigas shit and we should get rid. well who fooking signed him!!!!!!!!! megson is manager of a club which is doing better now that it was 12 months ago so he is doing his job well, fact is he is doing it in a way that do nt look too good, some people ignore the first bit and get upset about the second bit. riga is a footballer who despite looking like he might be good has delivered little, some people get excited about the first bit and ignore the second bit. i can guarantee you 100% if the lad was doing great things and proving himself in training he would at least be on the bench, if then gets in the team and produces results he will get to play again when fit.
Guest realbwfc Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 He couldn't pass wind, but he looks like he could be a good player. Thats the mentality of some of our fans. bit like Megson couldnt manage a corner shop, looks like he could be a good manager, but thats the mentality of some folk on here.............
Big E Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 can someone find some win ratio statistics. the ones i have seen make it that allardyce would win 1.4 more games that megson in a season and that is including him managing bolton in the championship for 2 seasons. seems that he isn't that bad afterall

adambwfc Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 just seems harsh after it seems to be give "meggo a chance", "get off meggos back" etc etc but Rigas shit and we should get rid. well who fooking signed him!!!!!!!!! He got him for free! He hardly broke the bank. Also, who signed Jardel, Ba etc. Even Rednose has bought shite. A few bad signings are outweighed by the good.
Maggie Tate Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I saw an interview with Megson on the telly yesterday. Talk about forlorn. He looks like a man ordering gammon at a motorway services.
Guest squidgy66 Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Its in Latvia. I think Garrp would disagree
